Smooth and more I hope.
@BE - It may be too late now, but Doc Wong  had a couple of open spots. He books a bunch early and releases them if his riding buddies don't fill them. There is another one December 6.
I may just show up there and show moral support!
Cool! Bring a camera. :D

there's plenty of tracks on the east coast... In the southeast I ride with a group called the Floribama riders. We have barber rented this weekend so looking forward to being out on the track and enjoying some two up tracck time..
but if you are in the SE let me know and I can get you in contact with a few schools or track days..

Jeff
I am in Maryland but don't know much about that scene.

Two up, do you do the track with someone on the back?
sorry about the delay in the post. Yeah I take my fiance out on the back of the FJR. that's one advantage to going toa track day where it's a small group. The club I ride with most of the people I've riden with quite a bit and they know my riding abilities and let me ride two up most of the time in the street class (only passing on the outside with plenty of room).

about prep, it's fine to take the FJR out there. I did take my center stand off a while ago (clearance issues) and it helps. some tracks say yes, some say no. Jennings and Talladega in the SE aren't that big a deal but I know that Barber you must remove the center stand...

BTW it's a pain in the as$ to take it off. one of these days i'll figure out how to put it back on temp. for maintenance rather than using my flat lift thingy that I use on my harley.

and yes there are good and bad track day organizations. Ask about if they have people to work with you on your skills, or take someone that you trust with you. Ask them about passing rules and other things like that. I've heard plenty of horror stories of track days. But it's the best way to improve your riding skills and have a REALLY good time.

I know of a track day at Jennings the saturday after Thanksgiving if you want to plan a "family trip" to FL for thanksgiving. it's right on the FL/GA border about 5 miles off I75. very relaxed group, very small groups. pm me for info..

Jeff
