Sorry hear about the break. Joints may be the worst break to heal back properly. Best of luck with it.

I may have missed it, but what kind of ankle protection were you using? I wanna be sure to avoid it when buying my next riding boot.

Dang this sucks! Sorry, dude. :(

But wait, you said there was tranny fluid still lying on the road from an earlier crash? Hmmmm...

Yeah, from the angle I was sitting it was invisible. One of the guys that came over to help me pointed it out, he said he thought I initially hit the glass strewn parallel to my slide but when he looked more closely he saw it. I guess I should buy or develop some sort of IR shield to spot this ****! :glare: I saw the glass and avoided it, maybe I shoulda rode on that instead, I think I woulda had a better chance there.

Sorry to hear about your crash.

Is there a contest going that I don't know about? (number of crashes in a given year)

Maybe a lead vehical may be in order for awhile to check the road and make sure there are no crazy people in your path....

My point is that if this was laying there and known to be a hazard by the city... I'm just saying you may have additional recourse. Not recommending suing, but they might reimburse.

It does not matter. When 500 pounds lands on it. There is little that can be done to prevent it from braking. The only thing that can be done is to have a steel plate all around it that is like 1/4 inch thick. not sure about you I am not ready for it. My FZ1 broke my tibia in two places and broke an ankle off as well on the left leg. I was ATGATT in my SIDI boots.

Man, double-screwed.First the series of crashes.

Now the washing dishes and s*** that the lady thinks that you'll have time for.

Heal fast. Sneak out often.

Bob
Not this one, she yelled at me last night for doing the dishes when I was in the kitchen. Won't let me get up for a pepsi if she's around, I'll enjoy it for now but it's gonna drive me nuts sooner or later, I'm just too damned independent for my own good. I went to the mall yesterday to pick up a router due to my desktop crashing 2 days before I did and had to get the laptop up to speed, man theses crutches give one hell of a workout. Tomorrow I get to hobble around w/ the crippled mutt to the vet and then go to my medical dept, so I'll get some time out of the house here and there. When it snows I'm screwed though, we have stairs everywhere!
