Evertime I read on this forum about t.b.s. the person is using the old mecury system, does anyone have any experience using a TwinMax Synchronizer ? Which do you think does the better job. I know the Gov. is trying to phase out the use of mecury .

thanks

The old mercury systems work 100%

I don't use it because I am too dam stupid to keep the mercury in the container instead of on the floor of my garage, plus the little tab on the container would just pop open and I didn't notice until too late.

Heck, after my incident you know how many people I got telling me stories of how they use to play with it as a kid.

Mercury vapor is what you want to stay away from. Such as if I tried sucking it up with my shop vac BAD!

https://www.carbtune.com/ is what I use but the mercury sticks work just fine.

+1 on the carbtune sticks (got them in about 8 days UK to California)

I also have the mercury kit econo tuner.

Only reason I am selling them is because I am moving soon and don't want to hassle with the new mercury, old mercury disposal. As long as you are careful with the mercury version (store them upright - tied off, keep your kids, wife, pets away from them) they should be fine.

econo kit cost me $45

carbtune with case was $119

Both are easy to use

Thanks everyone, carbtune sticks sounds like the way I will go.

Using the economy version of the mercury sticks. With all the talk about Motion Pro possibly discontinuing them, I ordered 2 refill kits. I may never need them but if it screws with the granola crunchers heads and epa, I'm all for it. :yahoo:

Motion Pro told me over the phone that california has banned shipping any mercury, and whatever units are already shipped to mail order stores are the last ones available. He did say most stores ordered very heavily so there will be availability for a while. They are testing alternative liquids for the future. VT

I have used the TwinMax and it works great. The only disadvantage is that you can only sync 2 TBs at a time. This add another 30 seconds to the job because you have to disconnect/reconnect the vacuum hoses to the other pair of TBs. No nasty silver liquid to spill and you can take it for a ride and observe the results of your sync job.
