Seems the design of the heated grips screws up the installation of all throttle locks. The rubber part of the grip along with the wires goes into the twist grip housing of the throttle barrel. Doesn't seem to be any way for the standard design of the locks to grip just the throttle tube.

The Brakeaway as it is designed for other bikes (ie. slipping over the entire grip) would seem to work, however the Brakeaway for the FJR is made to go over the throttle tube after removing the grip and reinstalling. This would not work with the heated grips.

Any suggestions?

Thanks. I know the cruise controlls will work, but looking specifically for throttle locks( other than Throttle Meister). Anyone?

the throttlemesiter correctly installed should work without any problems.

The throttlemeister installs sort of like a bar end, is that correct? If so, I would think that it should work. The bar ends ARE the same part number for all the years (so far).

Si,

the throttlemesiter has a friction sleeve that goes at the end of the throttle sleeve under the grip. The throttlemeister then engages with the friction sleeve when extended.
