I guess my ignorance is showing again. I didn't realize you could pick up sound on video. Oh well, us Texans are always a little behind on the newest technology. We still use audio down here in the sticks. :haha:I was wondering why I never see a file. . .until I took my digital camera out to the garage and took about a 1 minute long video at idle and revving up to about 4k rpm. My FJR ticks quite audibly, yet for some reason that sound did not come across at all on the video. Wierd. I'll try again outside. . .maybe that will make a positive difference on which frequencies come through better/worse.
Nonetheless, you'll be stunned at the amount of power increase you'll immediately notice the first time you ride the bike after the repair. The loss of power that occurs with a ticker is soooooo gradual, the owner barely picks up on it.Still runs like a raped ape.

But you will when the bike comes back after the repair!
That was my first inkling that I was going to have a problem, when a guy I ride with said I had white smoke out the right pipe. Left valve bad, smoke out the right, doesn't make sense but it's a ticker. I'm hoping that the performance is markedly better after the fix, cause the motor was feeling pretty 'agricultural' when I finally brought it in. Didn't seem to want to rev as freely and vibrated lots.Doug Hines told me when he was behind me and I passed a car that he saw white smoke eminating from the right tail pipe and it smelled like oil.
