The bike was new with the Conti Sport Attack's. I now have 2,125 miles and it shows I have been having fun :yahoo: .

Notice how the rear left side and the front right side are the most worn. With the tire wear on opposite sides what does this say about my riding? Do I come in hot to the right and power out more to the left?

Another tire question is the KTM calls for air pressure of 31-35 front and 32-36 rear depending on load. I am going to put PR2's on next. Being used to running more air in the PR's do I follow KTM or bump it up to 36-38?

Look like a proplery worn out tire! :finger: :finger:Just the way I like to do them ;) :yahoo: :clapping:

Uh, Dougie,

I'm thinking the majority here are politely telling you that if you're looking for sympathy, try this: Linky :p

No sympathy needed :p , I got the tire mileage I expected (almost)from a soft tire but I really would like to know what tire pressure I should use with the PR2's and why the front is worn more on the opposite side of the rear.

It's in Beemerdons banana hammock. The pink one.

You sound WAY too familiar with beemerdons undergarments... :dribble:

Hey Bug, you think you'll get a straight answer on this thread?

Me neither.

Expecting a real answer was my first mistake.

I'll have something special for Scooter this fall when he rides north to Rays, that is if he survives life on the road with Bust & Don

If you are coming with those guys you better ship me a set of tires so you can make it home :)

Ok...So here's a real answer. Why would you put PR2s on that bike. They have a reputation for lasting, but also one for handling like crap. Especially after a a couple thousand miles.

Why not try something like RoadSmarts, the Contimotions, Pirelli Angels, or even the BT023. Lots of reported issues from the FJR with these tires will probably not translate to the lighter KTM. However, a tire that has issues with stick, like the PR2 will exhibit that issue, regardless of the bike.

Hell, try a PR3. I'm running a set now and have been impressed. I think you may have to go through a couple sets of tires before you find what gives you the best feel and longevity.

I've had years of training and experience working in Asian car dealerships.

After carefully examining the pics you posted, I can only draw one logical conclusion.

You need new tires! :yahoo:

I ran a few sets of PR2's on my FZ1 including a track day, I liked them just fine. Didn't seem to get the crappy handling at the end like on the FJR- weight thing I guess. Also I believe a big part of tires is in our head, if you like and trust a tire from repeated use it's hard to switch.

On a side note the KTM IS fun but not as fast as was my FZ1 including the twisty stuff- yet. I'm still learning the Orange way of life.

Aw well, see...Like I said. If you ran them on your FZ1, and they worked, I wouldn't expect and different on the KTM. Have fun wearing out the next set of tires!!
