tire wear update

This is my PR2 on the rear with 8000 miles on it:

This is my Pilot Power on the front with 6500 miles on it:

I'm pretty happy with the PR2

Not so happy with the Power on the front, I'll be buying a PAIR of PR2's next time

Heres my question, Does the cut in the rear tire cause anyone else pause and or concern? I measured the depth of the cut today, it's about 3/64 th, almost as deep as the tread valley to the left of it.

Does anyone know how much rubber is between the tread valley and the cords?

seriously.........I cut the tire after I removed it and took a look. I still had a couple mm of rubber/steel to go through.
