My ride reports tend to start a little wordy. I use a few paragraphs at the beginning to get what I think are pre-requisites out of the way - distance, mileage, weather, destination, etc. For the most part, once the pictures start, I let them do most of the writing.

Admittedly, I write the ride reports for selfish reasons. My family doesn't want to hear me rant on about the trip - bla bla bla. This way, I let them read the R/R and they can see it for themselves. The kids like the stories too. Of course, wifey says that "all you do is ride around and eat." My usual reply is "....and your point is.....?????".

I see nothing wrong with this. I used to do the same thing in a Cessna (cost a bit more tho').
