Last Saturday, about a dozen FJRs (and an R1200RT:blink
took exskibum(Rich) up on his offer
to lead a ride up to Lake Tahoe via Old Hwy. 40.
So, here are some photos taken on the ride.
dcarver and his dirty motorcycle arrived in Sacramento the evening before the ride.
In the morning, Bokerfork met us at my place and the three of us departed for the 20-minute ride
up to Auburn -
Working out hand signals as we left town.
The little stretch of interstate heading east and up into the foothills.
We were very early, so we had breakfast on the patio at Katrina's, where we were
joined by Rsvlfeej.

Katrina's. You won't find a better breakfast anywhere. Delicious.
And they employ a gang of hot little waitresses. (I hadn't noticed, but Carver commented on it a few times.)
After breakfast, we still had 45 minutes before KSU, so we took a short ride around some pleasant local roads.
(BTW, these three boys are very good riders.)
Dern traffic. Nice scenery.
It was time to join the group. exskibum gave us a pre-ride briefing,
"...and I always cover my front brake with my pinkie."
Eric and Neal, containing their enthusiasm.
tmc, Carver, and Puppychow (Sam).
And off we went.
I rode behind RogDeb (Roger and Deb) for a good part of the way.
So, I got 'em in a lot of shots.
We didn't spend much time on the interstate.
It was a gorgeous day.

Not many scenery shots, because godheppya if you stopped. You'd never see the group again.
