Many of us have left our life savings there. Plan on very expensive gas.

Here's a pic of the gas price's sign at Furnace Creek from about a year ago, lucky the FJR doesn't need premium or diesel!!

Only Panamint Springs has gas that cost more.

Usually DV has the most expensive gas in the country but darn cheap if you need it.

Thanks for all the advice. I'm off on my grand adventure tomorrow morning. The weather's looking pretty sketchy leaving town--it will be in the 30's and may be raining. If I can get to Twin Falls and start heading south I should be good to go for the rest of the trip. I'll have a burger tomorrow night in Tonopah with RPrice as he's going to be there too. First ride of the year...woo hooo~!
