I totally understand how you feel as I don't seem to make many friends here but really enjoy all aspects of this forum. I probably won't feel like I "fit" in my own coffin. I spend a lot of time looking thru posts here trying to learn & laughing with those that do have their group of friends. There are a small handful that will possibly respond when I post for help but very few compared to pages of banter & help I see on others posts.

Bottom line for me is to try & make friends, then treat others the way they treat me (which is mostly to ignore). Love it or leave it ? I still love it here & will make more friends . . . . :drinks:

Dysfunctional my arse. My therapist says I am doing much better, thank you.

I'm sorry man. I Love you and everything that you stand for!
OK, now will you stay?

JW
Aw, geez. Get some chap-stick jwilly. All that ***-kissing is gonna dry out your lips.

. We could also use some more ****s around here. Fo' real, instead of 6 FJR's at the top, why not 3 sets of jugs?

Dysfunctional, not at all. I think this is a great idea!

I sorta gave up on this site a couple of years ago thinking I didn`t fit in.
So, where's a better FJR-focused internet forum to hang out?

You might find just the niche you seek over at ST.n, like a few others have. Bon Voyage!

This is not myspace, and was never intended to be.
This isn't myspace? I musta taken a wrong turn somewhere. I'm out.
Don't let him fool ya UC, where else would a man go to post pictures of his a$$ right after an accident?
Thanks, JW. I guess this place is a lot like myspace, they have **** stars and we have a$$ shots. Kinda different, but kinda the same.

EDIT: Sorry 'bout the thread jack that's about to occur. (see link above)

I only hang around to insult TWN. If he doesn't virtually flip me off once a month my karma goes to ****.

FJRobert,

Man, that echos my sentiments exactly. Must be the "grunt" in us. Thanks for capturing what I wanted to communicate as a response.

Also, your CIB is always an awesome avatar for me to see....appreciate ya!

Knowing a little about where you live and the kind of winter that you've had (cold and unusually snowy) I think you just need some motor-vation. Hit up your local dealer for a test ride on a Yamaha Nytro MTX - that will put a better attitude on you in a big hurry! God knows you've got lots of great snowmobile terrain all around you.

Life is sweet Shuswaper but you have to take a bite - it doesn't always come to he who waiteth...

The main problem with this forum is that nearly everybody rides an unsuitable motorcycle. It's a commonly known fact that the most intelligent riders do not ride FJRs.

and i was told that riding a FJR would add 50 points to your IQ

This site is like most of its type. There are a core group of 100 or so who spend a lot of time here, post a lot, and feel a kinship with some of the other members, and some who even exhibit an sense ownership of of the forum. Below, or within this, there are sub groups of self-styled experts, comedians, and boy racers. Again, like most of the other MC forums. The vast majority of members visit occasionally and post infrequently.

That said, if you initially came here looking for FJR-related info, there is a treasure trove of it here, thanks to that core group. If you're looking for admission into the club, I imagine you have to post a lot, ride to some of the meets, or just meet some of those folks one-on-one. If your presence here has nothing to do with any of the foregoing, then pop in once in a while to have a look, contribute if/when you can, and don't stress about it. After all, it's just an Internet forum and, for most folks, a source of reference and not much more. Your real life is out there, away from the keyboard.

Well, actually I've seen shu over on the ST.n site, stuff looks very similar to the postings here. Perhaps it has been a long cold winter at shu's house. Very low on FJR or even Yamaha content, very high on personal content.
