How many fjrs were produced for each fo the model year production runs?

I am curious because i almost never see them on the road, and i recal my dealer telling me that they only got 4 of them for the whoel year.

I dont see them every day, but I do see them on a semi regular basis around here. Maybe it is just a Jersy thing?

I've only seen a silver one at the Dragon, a fancy blue one in a parking lot at a restaurant in my town, a black one in a motorcycle store, and a regular blue one in my garage. :D I guess that's one for each of those years so far as I know. Here's a little better information though...

Model Comparison Chart

Hint: Look at 'Estimated Production'

My Yami dealer tells me my 04 is the only FJR in my city.

He all so told me he never seen a silver fjr. Just one Blue FJR that the owner use to have.

And its not a po-dunk city. I just don't see many around.

May be its the power sport bike thing? Lots of HD,Wings & croch rockets.

Anyway get alot of people come up and talk to me about the bike.

So Im wondering if there is very many FJR's in the States?

I saw one today on Rayford Sawdust so that's two around here. Also saw a pile of them as police bikes when I was in Paris last week

Is it Friday?

Around here, people buy bikes "because they are cool" so they buy the bikes considered cool, and so you see an assload of GSXRs and CBRs. You also see a lot of SV-650s & Wee-Stroms because the local Suzuki dealership has salesmen that can actually sell, as opposed to blowing smoke up people's asses and pissing them off.

I certainly wouldn't have bought a $10K+ bike w/o a test drive, so I wouldn't have bought the FJR except for lucking out on it in Tennessee and running into a dealer that had no problem with a test ride. I'm pretty sure Orlando Yamaha hasn't moved any FJRs at all, as their lone '07 sits forlorn and dusty in a corner and the sales people just pretend it doesn't exist. Anyone here bought anything from them? I know there's a lot of Central Florida folks here.

EDIT: and I've had "Nice BMW, I didn't know their bike logo was different from the car logo" as well.

Sade to say yes its Friday. Many have to enjoy there weekend. How sade.

Hmm Im going for a ride tomarrow.

I think the Swiss police use FJR's.

Not to many in my neck of the woods. I've seen 2 since I bought mine (07A, may have been the same one). We are a exclusive group. I think my dealer has only sold 6 since I've bought mine in mid 07. In an area of about 175k-200k people, that's not a good ratio.

Just to provide a benchmark, I bought my 2005 in the PDP (Preliminary Down Payment of $500 in April of 2004). Took delivery in October 2004 from South Bay Motorsports in National City, CA. They had taken PDP orders on 28 of them that year.

When I go to an FJR rally/ride, the parking lot is mostly blue. I am an "upstanding" member of the (FJR) Blue Man Group.

I think you'll find that in the "Bin O Facts".

Initially, first U.S. year ('03), I think it was a little over 1K. And then a little more every successive year?

H-D has the numbers on the road -- they've sold the most big bikes in recent years. Remember, the FJR wasn't (originally) a 'made-for-America' bike -- Yamaha didn't want try to sell them here. I think that they (MamaYama) probably think the FJR has probably done "well enough", sales-wise?

And...., there will probably lots of low-mileage used FJRs popping-up for many years. :)

I have asuggestion, I think you should go to the EOM and count the ones in your area and maybe find some people to ride with.
