Thanks everyone for the opinions. Like the old saying, everyone's got one and they all stink.

We were planning to go to the Fox and Goose for breakfast but decided to just stick with the motel free grub. Ended up shopping at Downtown Plaza (didn't I say we weren't going shopping?) But if you have to shop on Black Friday, this is the place. It was not crowded at all. The store clerks said everyone would be at Arden or Roseville. Good for us. I was bored out of my skull as my wife tried on blouse after blouse. "How do you like this one, Honey?" "It's fine." Times five million. She picked one, we left, then on the way to the car she had to go back and buy that other one. I had to ask if she was joking, but no she meant it. "I'll just decide later, and I can always return it." Yeesh. That's why she does the Christmas shopping and I address the cards.

Lunch was at Zelda's. Man that place was awesome. Lived up to its reputation for sure. Zachary's in Oakland is just another place the yups go to see and be seen. Zelda's is where the bangin' pizza is.

Happy Turkey Weekend everybody!

Like I told you. Zelda's and MadMike2 are the only things worth a **** in Sacramento.
of course if I would have known you were hangin' downtown I would have sent you over to the location of the only news-worthy event to come out of that **** town:

This old gal brought some spice to cow-town and she was a good drinkin' buddy of renojohn when we'd be short of drinkin' money due to tuition and such ....we'd go slummin' to the American Legion and my old buddy dorothy was always good for a free drink or two.

One of my buddies went home with her one night ....uhh, haven't seen Charlie since.

Great pizza and nice ambiance.

One memorial evening, on the way home from work, I met some crazy Reno citizen there and shared a pizza. :yahoo:

Well Jerry, here's what I like to do on an "odd" evening in Sacramento, I go browsing "Thrift stores". Very entertaining, and sometimes (even though you are NOT shopping  ), you may(?) find yourself a real keepsake! I always look for trench coats or dusters, and have picked up a couple that I would never part with. Sometimes a nice herringbone or a blazer jacket will show up for that next wedding or funeral party you need to attend. Lamps are also fun to browse, not to mention the book or utensil selection.
