I am trying to set up for my first track day.

I pulled my oil plug and drilled it for safety wire, But where do I tie it? same ? for the fill cap

And the one that REALLY has me confused Is how do you safety tie your Yammi oil filter? With K&N you can use the nut on top, but Yammi has no nut.

Try using a hose clamp:

Here's a link with other ideas for other areas:

some of us dumb ass engineers have practical solutions!

-- or -- even a blind squirrel gets a nut on occasion.

go figure?

Also there are safety wire washers:

Put them under the bolt, bend the tab up, and safety wire your drilled bolt to the washer tab!

Hose Clamp for the oil filter. Look just below and forward of the filter and you will see a very small flange. That can be driled to take the safety wire.

Oil Drain Plug: Drill a small hole in the protective shroud that is in front of the plug.

Oil Filler: Find a fixed object on the bike. Maybe the banjo on the clutch slave? Remember; the wire does not have to be tight; it is there to stop the cap from "backing" out.

I find it odd that you're having to do all this for a simple track day. Whose track day is it?

+1

You should just have to tape/remove mirrors, signals, etc... it's not a race bike.

To recite an expression from the past.

BOGUS!

That's the strangest requirement I've ever seen. It's even more bizarre because it's not universal. Seems they believe faster guys have more drain plug failures than others. VERY ODD.

But, you have to play by their rules, whatever they may be.

I think It has to do with BARBERS track rules. They are VERY proud of the track,
