:yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: Just got back from 8 days on the Feejer. Left Eugene through Marcola, Sweethome, Mt Hood and the Gorge to Pendleton the first day, up and over the LoLo Pass to Missoula, to Kalispell and BEAUTIFUL Glacier National Park from West to East, (you will not believe the beauty of this incredible place), stayed at Many Glacier Resort on Tuesday night. Woke up to one of the most beautiful sunrises ever, left on Wednesday for Gardiner Montana and the North Entrance of Yellowstone National Park, Wednesday, through Yellowstone and The Grand Teton National Park to Jackson Hole Wyoming, to Idaho Falls and then on to Boise. Incredible trip with amazing scenery, lotsa twisties, straight shots and everything in between. I went with my brother Bill from Santa Maria, Ca. with him on his brand new beautiful Suzuki Boulevard. It was painted by the guy that did the ghost rider scooter with "real flames" that got a lot of looks by other bikers and cagers too! I rode this machine for a few hours and both him and I agreed that the FJR was the most amazing bike. His scoot had plenty of power but it killed me. My helmet was trying to be torn from my head after about 45 mph, the forward, cruising position was a pain in my back and shoulders from holding on so i didn't get thrown off from the wind and the noise was deafening. I so love my FJR, so quiet, powerful and comfortable. He admitted it to but didn't ***** too much cuz he didn't want me to know that he was dying the whole trip. 2500 miles of bliss, over so soon. I can't wait until next year, it's his turn to pick the route. Maybe i will even ride to california!!!

If you ever have the chance, don't miss the opportunity to see Glacier on your motorcycle, it's the most beautiful place on the continent...

ride safe and watch out for the crazies out there...

Great trip! Glacier is a beautiful place and so are the Tetons.

If you were to ever do it again, I would suggest going to Red Lodge, MT instead of Gardiner and entering Yellowstone Park via Beartooth Pass. It's an awesome ride on a bike.

A great trip. I've been over these roads many times and still like them. IMHO, Many Glacier Lodge is the most scenic in the park service. Much better than Yellowstone. The only other place that compares is Lake Louise. Next time your there slip up to Waterton, a smaller but very scenic and quiet park. I'll also add a vote for Beartooth and Dead Indian out of Cody. One can never get enough of the PNW.

Hi dfpextraordinaire, I live in Salem. Maybe one of these days we can get together and do some riding. Oregon is full of roads that are great to ride. I got pictures of Slver Falls but can't figure out how to post them.

That's definetly a great ride! I also live in Eugene and in fact am heading out tommorrow morning for a ride down through the Rogue river and into Gold Beach. Then, on down to the Redwoods and then back up to Crater Lake and home via Hwy. 58 into Eugene. Not as long or nice as your ride but it's all I have time for at the moment. Glacier is very, very nice!! Came down from B.C. after a ride to Vancouver island and I have to say that Glacier is phenomenal.

I haven’t made Glacier on two wheels yet the areas but almost all of the balance of that trip I have ridden. I am very glad that I saw Yellowstone prior to seeing Glacier (back to Glacier a couple of years later in a cage). The Going to the Sun Highway is AWESOME!!! If you go back to the area I strongly recommend doing Waterton which is the Canadian side of the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. I thought the Canadian side was almost as impressive as Glacier and well worth the time even though you have to back track to get back to Glacier unless you plan on tripping through Canada.

I am in Central Oregon so we need to do a Southern-Central Oregon loop together on some weekend. You probably know the best route to Wilber and then North Bank Rd to 138, off to 97, North to Crescent; the Crescent Cut Off Rd to the Davis Lake cutoff and up to 46 Cascade Lakes Hwy to SW Century and Bend; back roads towards Sisters and Hwy 242 to 126 and back to Eugene……. or any number of variation (58 to 97 and maybe an early lunch then the loop back to Eugene or, or, or,) or rides you know works for me.

Probably wouldn’t be too difficult to entice FJRay to join us……
