Hi Buddies..

My FJR Tyre Air Pressure Gauge indicator Screen shows my Rear Tyre Pressure is 17 PSI Only but when i physically check the tyre, the Air pressure looks normal and cant notice any air leaking. How can i trouble shoot this issue.. any suggestion ?

Is the frt reporting correct pressure?
Swap sensors and see if the low value moves to the frt. (presuming external sensors) If so, sensor or battery failure?
(What brand TPMS are you using?)
-Steve

I've been using a few different aftermarket (external accessory) TPM solutions on 2 FJRs since 2012. Have never experienced a significant delta in the readings I got between the garage pressure gauge, and even my cheap Chinese-made TPM units.

I agree with Sapest - sounds like you have a bad sensor now.

OR

If your TPM sensors use tiny little lithium batteries like mine do, perhaps one of the batteries is dying more quickly than the other now?

Never experienced a Delta. What does that even mean.(Delta). 🤣🤣🤣

Hi All.

I did manage to troubleshoot the problem. There was 2 Screws stuck to the rear tyre and that was cause of the air leak which shows 17 PSI in the Tpms.
After doing 2 patches the air still leak so i have to change 1 pair of new tyre. And now all is good. Tks Guys

So in fact the TPMS was doing its job correctly, yes? Let's revisit "when i physically check the tyre, the Air pressure looks normal ....." in your original post. Exactly how did you "physically check the tyre", by looking at it? Did you check the tyre or did you check the tyre pressure?

I suspect it "looked" OK and seemed firm but no actual pressure test with an independent gauge.
(I was a bit confused as well.) At least it is sorted out.

Hi Guys..

Sorry.. i am wrong in my earlier post.
Only today, My Mechanic found out the problem was from the TPMS Rear Wheel when screwed in causing the leak so i need to replace a new cover.

Thanks Guys

Two screws in the tire and a bad sensor? You are not having much luck with this.
