Sounds like there needs to be a DS ride on the 3rd, to coincide with a possible rain-check on an FJR ride.

Looks like Hans is riding on the 1st. I'll be at work.

As Yoda might say, "Go, or ride not".

MM2, thanks for keeping a look-out for the weather. Not sure I can make the 3rd. But let's keep an eye out as it gets closer. I'll be in touch about this Saturday....

The Den Mother and I are in - weather permitting. The backup date of the 3rd should work as well.

Any forecast beyond 48 hours is called a "guess".

Hey Ric in Sac, don't you remember the weather man that worked for channel 3 in Sac town, Harry Geist his long range fore cast and longer than two days were right on

Hycle and I are going to "pre-ride" tomorrow. We will be checking 3 or 4 different restaurants/diners to see who will be open and what arrangements can be made. THAT will used in determining the "sure" date.

Saturday "could" be the best day for everyone, especially those who..er..uhm...party and consume copious amounts of adult beverages or have out of town guest, or both.

I should have a plan and an alternate posted tomorrow night or by Sunday, so stay tuned for more details.

The management thanks you and appreciates your patience.

The "Brain Trust" (JB, mm2 & Hycle=1 brain...maybe) rode to Benicia and checked out this place and made an executive decision.

We'll be waiting for the manager to contact Hycle for final details but, for now...... :clapping:

Then we rode up to "The Wall" overlooking San Francisco Bay. :yahoo:

Trust me, its a great ride, good scenery and wonderful scenic vista moments, plus "The Wall" experience.

If the ride experience comes close to the time spent with Hans and Mike today, it'll be a great way to usher in the 2009! And, Sacramento Mike, JB (maybe?!?!), uberkuls and others able to join us after family obligations, this should be GREAT!

Hycle, for whatever reason, things are working with the computer!?!?

Yep. Lucky guess . . . er I mean . . . . Geist
I knew his brothers Zeit und Welt Geist...

JB

P.S. Mike and Mikey, it was a blast blasting around with you two dudettes today! Wow wow fun fun! We should be so lucky to have such a beautiful day next week. And ain't three a great number to ride with? There was a moment riding down 80 through Fairfield where I would have loved to have seen us from the air: MadMike was in the fast lane in the left wheeltrack position, with Hycle behind him and to his right in the right wheeltrack. I was in the next lane over behind Hycle. We formed a perfect diagonal line like three F-18s.

I'm back in for Maybe. I kinda liked the 1st better. I like the symbolism of starting the year off with a ride. The third is just another Saturday.

So take off on the first and just keep riding till we all meet up on Saturday. Maybe take in a little bit of Mexico and Canada. What's the problem?

And Mikey, when/where we gonna meet in the morning, W. Sac Chevron maybe?

The we're now at +20 people. At some point Hycle is going to need a fairly accurate head-count for the manager of the restaurant.

1.) If you are a fence sitter or one who normally doesn't let us know you're coming (and there's nothing wrong with that) it could make it more difficult at the restaurant if 10 more unknown people show up.

2.) Does the Sacramento contingent want to "circle the wagons FJRs" at the Chevron in West Sac? 0830-0845? Kickstands up @ 0900 for the trip to Benicia?

Let me rephrase the above: I'll be leaving the Chevron @ 0900! :yahoo:
