V-strom Handguards

Remove bar ends and mod guard clip 'opening' as per Warchild's handguard farkle
The long bolts replace the pivot bolts for the clutch and front break levers.

The guard is then mounted to the new bolts ( Bolt threads through holes in guard)

put on washers and then tighten nuts.

Replace barends, note you may have to shorten the grip slightly to accommodate the thickness of the clip

Perfect. That would have saved me 20 minutes of head scratchin'.... although I did finally finger it out

Makes me realise how so much easier the BMW GS guards were to fit - with very clear instructions! Highly recommend them and much cheaper than the V Strom I understand

I stopped by the Suzuki place this Sat and the set-up is $91 - the "lever bolts" are $15 and $16 bucks repectively. The guy gave me the printout and I'll be happy to post it tonight - if I remember.....how to get home!

The only mod I made was to add 2 nuts to each of the distance sleeves to keep maintain a fixed separation
