I ran the vacuum line up from the canister below through this hole that I made in the side of the tool tray. (see pic) I turned the servo so that the vacuum connection was right by the hole.

Before I messed with the tray, I checked on the replacement cost in case I didn't like the result. At the time (last winter) it was less than $20 to buy a new tray so I figured I could "undo" it relatively painlessly if it didn't work out.
