Damn you guys are hard on yourselves. I'm an L.A. boy, work at STAPLES Center and have been a Kings fan for over 30 years. I'm still in shock and cannot explain what happened.

I truly expected to be taking the ice out this week

And all that crap people are talking about Kesler? How many times has he won the Selke Trophy?!

You guys will be back next year and probably kick our butts (and everyone else's) up and down the rink.

Now if the Rangers can send the Senators packing we'll have the Cup back in America where it belongs! :p

That's true...because they outlawed foreign players from playing on 'merican teams? The canadians win...even if they don't win. More power to 'em...they gotta have a winter sport they can dominate in that ice and snow covered country. :D

Right you are Bud, in the last twenty years the Frostbacks have only won the Stanley Cup once! My Great-Great-Great Grandfather Lord Stanley really intended for his Cup to reside in America, just a little known fact of Hockey History!

1992 Pittsburgh Penguins

1993 Montréal Canadiens

1994 New York Rangers

1995 New Jersey Devils

1996 Colorado Avalanche

1997 Detroit Red Wings

1998 Detroit Red Wings

1999 Dallas Stars

2000 New Jersey Devils

2001 Colorado Avalanche

2002 Detroit Red Wings

2003 New Jersey Devils

2004 Tampa Bay Lightning

2005 n/a

2006 Carolina Hurricanes

2007 Anaheim Ducks

2008 Detroit Red Wings

2009 Pittsburgh Penguins

2010 Chicago Blackhawks

2011 Boston Bruins

I am reasonably sure the uncanny resemblance to Seth and I has been duly noted at the CFR Rallies that we Stanley Boys attend!

Indeed, that would be a great rule. U.S. teams can field only U.S. born players. I'm guessing the Cup would go back north,.......and STAY THERE.

(And Don, you are the spittin' image of Lord Stanley, which troubles me. He was a Brit. I know many an Irishman has beaten Royal knees, ...so maybe that explains it.

I think there outta be a rule. If a city can't make a natural outdoor ice sheet for at least one day per calendar year, it should NOT be allowed an NHL franchise.

Hockey in Florida??? I mean..........really.......wtf?

I don't know, they do get the odd freeze in Florida and wipe out the orange crop. A high-school buddy of mine spent time in Pensacola and played rec senior hockey until he was banned for fighting (non-contact league). Dave was always a bit of a hothead when he put on the skates but he is from Grimsby so it is completely understandable.

Are you sure he wasn't banned for actually having talent and natural ability? I'm pretty sure a natural born and raised Canadian has a higher hockey skill level then a Floridian. I've played against a few few Canadians and they all kicked my ass.

The only teams allowed into the league should be:

Montreal

Toronto

Vancouver

Edmonton

Calgary

Winnepeg

...and maybe Saskatoon or Regina

Chicago

Minnesota

New York

Boston

Detroit

Pittsburgh

Sadly Mick, I'm afraid that each of we beleaguered Paddies may have a Brit in the woodshed. It would be a lot less embarrassing if it was Jackie Robinson or Joe Louis!
