I'm starting a list of the Vermont roads that I've found so far in my travels that are "under destruction/construction".

1: VT Route 12 between Bethel and Randolph. This is now a DIRT ROAD with TONS of pot holes (Fred W would love it)! Very slow going. Not sure it will be finished.

2: VT Route 125 between Middlebury and Hancock (Middlebury Gap). From Hancock to the Middlebury College Snow Bowl ski area this road it all TORN up and rough. Very slow going. Not sure when that will be finished.

3: US Route 7 from Rutland to Dorset. Road is grooved and getting ready to be repaved. Doing it in sections. Right now from Rutland to just south of Wallingford is grooved and waiting for fresh pavement. Then they will do the section to Dorset.

4: VT Route 140 from Wallingford to East Wallingford. Just finished culvert work and will be repaving soon (I hope). From what I'm told this SHOULD be finished by July 2 (I live on this section of road).

These are projects I have found and driven on and I know there are more in my great state of Vermont. I'll post more as I find them. Hope this helps with route planning.

Man, I may have to go up your way and see if I can pick another fight with my favorite flag man

Thanks for the road updates, hopefully this will lead to some good riding later this summer.

I found another on today's ride. RT 100 north of Weston, VT has bridge work June 3 to June 24. I saw covered signs that may be a detour. At best the bridge will be one lane. And I know there are more out there. Ride safe!

Allen, first you have to get Fred W. to scoot around him and get him good and mad.

Let's hope all this road work gets wrapped up by August!

I found more places that are under "destruction" on our last ride. RT 100 1 mile south of where RT 17 and RT 100 intersect (Waitsfield) will be CLOSED from June 19th to July 26th for bridge replacement. Plus they are working in the Granville Gulf (near Moss Glen Falls) and it'll be one lane and SLOW! Plus there are a couple of spots where work has been done and the side was dug up so you will find dirt. Go SLOW in this area!!

Found another route that is being worked on. RT 17 from the App Gap to Bristol culverts are being replaced and they are covered with dirt so it is SLOW going! Road is ROUGH anyway and it looks like they maybe repaving it later on.
