That's a heck of a lot cheaper then the whopping 20 million they where taking for the flight up to the space station from Russia.
With this low price I could potentially sell my house and get one of these tickets....Na, on second thought, me thinks not! :lol: :lol:
On a more serious note, I think this is definitely heading the right way. 200 grand is pocket change for the elite nowadays, so there should be lot's of takers. This will become affordable for the middle classes as well sooner rather then later.

Literally anything. I've been a space nut for 44 years, and I'm real sad I don't have the $30mil for a Soyuz flight, or even the lesser buckage for a VG flight. I've been applauding Richard Branson for this since he started, and I'm happy to see him actually following through. I'm also happy to see SpaceX's Falcon 9 with a successful all-up test-firing a couple weeks ago.
Things are looking up for COTS space flight!!!! YAY!!! Happy dance!

Yea, but the flight would be a helluva lot longer going to the ISS. My sense is that this thing with Virgin flight. Weightlessness will only last about six minutes... Not even enough time to get it on like you could in a Virgin Atlantic First Class Upper Class Seat.
(Though if you traveling with someone you could get it on with, it'd be like the 70-mile-high club, which would be a pretty exclusive group!Like Crash Cash, I'd give up almost anything to go, though. I worked as a consultant at NASA for a short time, and the secret is, I would've done it for free. Love and admire those people and the whole program.
If you haven't seen the series "When We Left Earth," I recommend it greatly. The moon landings are even more remarkable as we understand how little technology actually existed back then.
Then again, imagine what our children may see like this.

I think I need to put a just in case of space clause in my retirement. Put away 200g's and if the doc tells me 6 months to live i'll just say "How many in Zero G doc?)
