Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery. My compliments on being prepared and knowing what to look for and for making the smart decision to seek treatment.

Gell well soon Walter! Next time spend a few extra bucks and get the bike with a motor on it!! Just kiddin, Ill head your warnings.

Walter's been moved to a room and is doing well...feeling good...compared to yesterday morning

best news is he has controlled his urge to murder his cell, ah, room mate

one can only take so many hours of the "Game Channel" , he says !!!

he said it was total coincidence that he had family in town and living in his house during their visit

otherwise he'd have been alone, but then that's what 911 is for

Thanks all. When the stint went I last night the symptoms were gone withing minutes, and I was feeling lots better. They kept me in ICU until this afternoon and I'm in a regular room now for "a few days." In ICU I had IVs and electrodes all over tbe place, couldn't leave the bed. Had to pee in a bottle, but I'm told that's better than a catheter. In the room I can walk around, and I have real plumbing!!!!. No IVs hooked up, althougb the things are still in my arms, one each. Lots of electrodes, but tbey go to a wireless transmitter that sits in a poclet.

I'm feeling fine, a bit bored. Ready to go home. Food is actually pretty good!

Prognosis is good. Only the one artery bad issues and already has its stint. Never had what I would have thought of as heart-attack-level pain. Doc says no weird rhythms in the aftermath. No more internal treatments foreseen. I expect to be lectured about diet........

Oh dang, that was a close one there. Glad you are feeling better and hopefully it'll be a short stay.

Dad had his first at age attack at 39, so when I was found to have high cholesterol, I started on Provachol years ago. My numbers have been within range ever since. Can't be too careful with that stuff. Thanks for the warnings, we NEED to be reminded about this kind of thing. Just curious, have you had you cholesterol checked in the past? Was it by chance kinda high?

I think the title needs to be fixed. It says he is OK?

C'mon, when did he get ever get a clear mental diagnosis? Have the doctors been paid off?

I mean, of course he had the close thing with his heart...but really, OK?

I think that is going way overboard!

<rant off>

Go Walt, Go!

You dun real good, man.

And you are right about avoiding catheters whenever possible unless you like the feeling of pissing razor blades.

If these things are going to happen and they do, glad you did all the right things so that you can warn us all.

Best wishes

Steve

Home yesterday, in time for lunch. Had a sandwich and a nap.

Lots of pills, most important one being Plavix. Cholesterol is OK at 160, but HDL is low, so I still get a cholesterol pill. BP is OK, but got BP pills, with instructions to take them only if it went high. How the ^#%$ do I know when it's high??!?!?! I guess I have to pick up one of those 60-dollar testers at the drugstore.....

Couple more days of sitting around the house, then life is supposed to return to normal.

Sleeping through the night last night without being bothered by nurses for blood or vitals was WONDERFUL!!!!!

Woke up from my nap yesterday in time to walk to the end of my street and capture a couple of images:

If ever there was a time for everything to work out just right. Speedy recovery!

Best blood pressure medicine you can get, take one, hold on lap or sit beside you. Pet.
