From another thread:

(July 15) Buell Motorcycle Company today introduced the 1125RR, a race-use only motorcycle intended for competition in the AMA Pro Racing American Superbike class.
Buell will produce a limited number of 1125RR motorcycles for sale only to licensed professional road racers who will compete in the AMA Pro Racing American Superbike class. U.S. MSRP is $39,995. Orders must be placed through the Buell Race Department and delivered through an authorized Buell motorcycle dealer.
Which "B"-bike is faster...? (or, more expensive?)

(or, better yet, more desireable?)

Price seems relatively reasonable for a liter class sportbike. https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=37326
Awful lot of high-tech magic happening with this platform, without a doubt.

Jesus, look at the front end of this beast.... that's some pretty serious Ohlins and Brembro candy....

Well I do see it has a chain final drive, so maybe it would be a possible keeper as well as the F800GS, no shaft drive beemers for me please :angry2:

Sorry, I was refering to the picture of the yellow bike - with the headlights. It has RR decals on it but should be a road bike, with the lights.
Ah, okay. The clear turn signals in that photo are cut off by the dark area at the bottom of the pic... you can see them here:

Ah, thank you. That's a beautiful bike. But, those signal lights are toast, if you drop it. Maybe, even if you just bump into them.

I just want to know if the final drive is fixed or not. If it fails while using it....another wasted condo and tennis bracelet.

Well, since both of those bikes have chain and sprockets final drive, I'm thinking BMW has indeed found the answer to their rear drive failure woes... ;)

they had one of those at the track a couple of weeks ago. Dude riding it was spanking everyone. And it was so quiet. The ABS system they have on it is absolutely incredible. If it senses the back wheel coming off the road it disengages to the point where the back wheel will come back to the ground. You can turn that off.

The dude wouldn't let me ride it. Told him I would let him hold my 22k R1200S for a spin on his 12-13k sport bike.

He didn't do it. :dribble:

This past June at a TPM track day at VIR, Morton's BMW was there with Nate Kern and one of these bikes. It is smaller in person than it appears in pictures. It looked really good. I was surprised to see what the MSRP is compared to early pre-order pricing. The 14K or so price is not in character with BMW. If that is what they will really be selling for, then BMW may have a hit.

I wish they'd sell it in that gorgeous carbon fibre look instead of that nasty yellow color. The yellow really brings out the "ugly" in the bike.

The lower price is mostly due to the chain final drive. It costs a lott'a marks to get the flames into the rear pumpkins... ;)

That was my thought too Bluesman. Another of those bikes that doesn't look quite so special without the girl - who looks to have enough performance to put me in the hospital every bit as quickly as that bike. ;)

Sweet looking machine, Not sure if I would take that over an R1, but the carbon fibre is HAWT

Now what exactly would this be...
