Warm & Safe Heated Handgrips in the left switch housing

I'm about to order the Warm & Safe Heated Handgrip Wrap with the single HeatTroller at https://www.warmnsafe.com/heated-handgrip-wrap-single-handgrip-heat-troller-kit/, and plan to put the HeatTroller in the left handlebar switch housing as Dean Woodward did at https://www.fjrtech.com/getdbitem.cfm?item=18.

Is there anything else I should be aware of for a Gen II install?

I have installed in mine the oxford heaterz and they are perfect!!Really HOT!!!

Except this the control panel and the grips they looks great on the bike!And very easy installation,plug and play.

Yeah, that's a pretty simple setup. But I want to be able to use my own grips, so I want the kind that you just put on the bars and put your own grip on top.

I'm not entirely sure that the extra utility of the Heatroller controller in the switch gear is worth the trouble of the install. I installed mine in A panel, near the little square insert (originally for the OEM grip heater controller). It works just fine there with easy access and visibility of the controller LED.

Good point. I already plan to put the dual Heat-Trollers there, haven't seen yet if there's room for three switches. thoughts?

I don't think there are any differences for a Gen II. Love mine located there!

Are yours rotated more forward than Dean's so you can see the LED better?

I'm out in the garage now measuring up my left side panel to see if I can fit three controllers in there, or just the two Heatroller ones and put the third, grips one, in the switch.

On mine, the LED indicator is actually located in the side (inside) of the housing.

Why not just heat gloves? They'll hook up to your Warm & Safe liner. They are warmer than heated grips.

I'll do both. I've found that grip heaters are nice for when you don't want to stop and put on the bulkier heated gloves.
