It's been a while since I have gone for a nice pleasure ride. Was supposed to go Sunday, but had to work. :angry2: And Monday was clutch day. For a couple months all I have been doing is commuting and errand running. But not today.
Did a nice 320 mile jaunt around some of Arizona's purty country. Wickenburg-Yarnell-Prescott-Jerome-Camp Verde-Strawberry-Payson. The day was beautiful. Got up to near 80 degrees in the lowlands, and was in the 70s and 60s in the high country. And the sun, she was a shining. Lunch in Prescott's Whiskey Row, at The Palace. Lots of clear roads with little traffic and lots of twisties. A good day.
Here's a photo of the high country near Strawberry, at 7,000 feet. Was in the low 60s.
Oh, and as an interesting aside, I pushed the gas stop a little too close for comfort. 288 miles on the tank. Put in 6.55 gallons. No stumbling or missing, but it must have been near bone dry.
