Yep, a small group of us on Friday after work. Why, we might even have a "late lunch" or sneak out early or something.

You?

I'm hoping to go. Having some outpatient surgery next Thursday and I'll see how I'm feeling. Most likely, if I go, it will be on Sunday.

I'm going to go on Friday me thinks. I'm flying to Seattle on the 12th so I don't have much of a choice :D

Maybe I'll try and leave work earlyish so I can "get ready to leave" hehe

I'm trying at the moment to get a hotel in DC to make a weekend of it - not the motorcycle show, but "DC." Either way, we'll probably spend part of either Sat or Sun there.

Jim, try Priceline.com for a room. Last year my friend made reservations thru them & we got into a smokin' 4 star hotel for cheap that was 2 blocks from the Metro.

Would like to make the show but probably won't this year. You guys have fun.

Heidi

If you really wanted to make a motorsports weekend of it, the Arenacross is in Baltimore next weekend, also.

Jim;

I think Jan and I are planning on going Sunday afternoon since she works Saturdays. We'll most likely hit the show around noon and whenever we're done walk over to fado's for a pint (or two) and some food before heading back home...

Patrick

Thanks for the suggestion Heidi, I did get a room.

Patrick - not sure yet what day we'll go, but if it's Sunday we'll make sure to look for you. Actually Sunday will probably be the better choice.

Imone prolly go. If I go, it will be Saturday. I'll be the really handsome one. As the weekend draws near, I may suggest some sort of rally plan, like, I dunno, at the FJRs at noon. Maybe we need some sort of utterance, too. I'd suggest one, but nothing particularly funny is coming to me at the moment. Help from the gallery in 3.....2......

Jim Lor - It's not too late to change your reservation, if you want. I booked a room for the weekend at the L'Enfant Hotel at 75% off their off-the-street rate of $485/night by searching the 'Net. The L'Enfant sits on top of the L'Enphant Plaza Metro stop (coincidence is a kick in the pants, eh?). So it's two blocks from the Smithsonian, and a Metro ride away from everything else.

Geez Ari, that's a great deal. I got 2 nights at the Henley Park for about the same price - if my math is correct - it's up on Mass Ave a couple of blocks from the show. I'll keep the L'Enfant in mind for next time - thanks!

We found out that Jan will be working in the BMW area on Sunday morning for Morton's. From what I understand there will be hawkers from Bobs, Battley's, and Morton's in the display area and she will be there to provide some tech input to people asking questions about the bikes.

I'm kinda hoping BMW will have a new F800GS to ogle. Official release is early March so I'm hoping they bring one to generate some interest.

All that to say -- we'll be walking around the show after she gets off her shift in the early afternoon.

I'm going to go on Saturday. I'll be at the FJR display at noon. I'll be wearing a WFO shirt, orange pants, and red sneaks - if you can't find me, you shouldn't be riding.

...and a big red nose?? :D

Patrick - Sunday AM will probably work out best for us. We'll look for you guys.

Im prolly going to go saturday...ill try to meet up with you Ari, if i do end up going. Its way to far away to know for sure what Im doing. (ive never been good at planning)
