Silver Dodge Magnum with random number plate and a stick figure family on the back window. Sitting in the HOT lane on SR167 in Kent, poking along at the speed limit. I followed for several miles, and then passed on the right at the second break in the "illegal to cross double white line."

Got a nice certificate to prove it.

First time I've got one of those in 12 years - I swear that the little dog at the end of the family of stick figures was laughing at me as they pulled away.

We'll after he ran your plates, and saw the huge timeline of being a non-contributor;

he figured you were due to fork over a contribution to the state?

Even though it is illegal to pass there, isn't there a way to fight it since he "forced" you into the move by blocking traffic with his slow driving?

KEEP RIGHT EXCEPT TO PASS- should apply to cops masquerading as normal cars....

I'll keep an eye out for the stick figure family...something about that isn't right.

In the mean time if you're so inclined, Jeannie comes pretty highly regarded, or so a *friend* told me.

That would be a tough sell, IMO. He was in the HOT lane. So no place to move to the right.

And he was already going the speed limit. So, if he was impeding traffic (you) that would mean that you had the intent to go faster than the speed limit, not something the judge is going to want to hear about.

[Friday rant] And just what is it with those stupid stick figure families? Do those people think they are cool? A replacement for their old "Baby On Board!" signs? Advertisements that they are rare individuals that are capable of procreation? [/Friday rant]

I use them as a means to identify who the BDSMs are on the road.

Apparently some people think that complete stranger just HAVE to know all about their family. AIIGAS.

Look into the deferral deal, if you have a clean record you can defer the ticket. One catch you can't get another for a year.

There are many completely unmarked WSP cars/suvs/trucks on the road. No visible antenna or special license plates. The one thing they do have in common is the windows including the drives and passengers side windows are smoked out way too dark to be legal.

The sh*tty part is they have been putting out announcements through the media that they are targeting caars that don't move to the left after passing. But as FredW said, it was a HOT lane, so the move over when not passing doesn't apply.

One other thing, they tend to travel in packs. Just because you have sen one, doesn't mean that is all of them. And chances are there is a plane circling above if you see more than one marked or unmarked car together. Although the budget situation is having an negative impact in flight time for the planes :) .

Personally, I feel so much safer knowing that the public's tax dollars are being spent so wisely, on unmarked cars and airplanes and sting-like / entrapment proceedings, so we can penalize these criminal speeders. They are clearly the scourge of modern society. Why just imagine how much better your life would be if we could eradicate these speeding pests.

What'd you get tagged for? Speed?

Sounds like the current version of the old 55 team - also known as "the rolling speed bumps."

Damn, Fred. You don't believe in rationing sarcasm, do ya?

WSP is also running a white Dodge Caliber on I5, doing the same. I've seen it nab two people on separate mornings. I look carefully for hidden lights before pulling anything now.
