This is why I pay for my legal aid benefit package at work. At least in Florida, unmarked cars apparently can't give you a ticket, they have to refer it to a marked unit, who has to do his own assessment of your violation, so I walked. W00t!

Man, I think Fred broke my sarcasm meter!

I'll keep an eye out for the stick figure family...something about that isn't right.

In the mean time if you're so inclined, Jeannie comes pretty highly regarded, or so a *friend* told me.

She has a VERY impressive family crest. Must be good.
AND she has a trademark on "DEFENDING DRIVING OFFENSESTM" ;)
Zen, you scofflaw, you're not allowed to use the term above. Jeannie has it trademarked.

damn lawyers. :angry2:

Coming back from Vancouver, WA this afternoon I rode up I-5 and observed a dark blue, standard looking pick-up with a canopy and in need of a wash. The plate appeared to be standard issue.

It was a LEO as it had a moto pulled over with dash and grill mounted red and blue lights. There is no way I would have associated that vehicle with law enforcement. The driver was behind the wheel so I was unable to get a good look at the uniform.

Approaching Tacoma all lanes came to a dead stop with the reader board sign stating Collision Ahead - All lanes blocked at 84th Ave.

A quarter mile ahead was the 512 exit and it saved my bacon from a long delay.

As I entered 167 and eventually the HOV lane near Auburn, I thought about Top Case's incident and decided to pace myself at the 60 MPH limit. As expected, you'd have thought I was going backwards what with all the traffic in the lane to my right blowing by.

I can't imaging that wasn't TC's experience as well. :angry2:

Keep Going!

Which brings up a good question: What would you do?

Would you pull over for an unmarked car (or dirty old pickup truck) just because it has flashing lights (hidden behind the grille no less)?

I'm sure it would piss off the stealthy, super-cop but I think you would be within your legal rights not to. Especially a solo woman driver. I mean, maybe I've been reading too many Dean Koontz and Steven King novels, but it sure seems like a real good way to abduct your next "date".

Texas is trying to make 85 the legal limit. have mixed feelings. Be fun for me but hate to think about EVERYONE ELSE that is doing the same or the normal 5-10 faster!

Silver Dodge Magnum with random number plate and a stick figure family on the back window. Sitting in the HOT lane on SR167 in Kent, poking along at the speed limit. I followed for several miles, and then passed on the right at the second break in the "illegal to cross double white line."

Got a nice certificate to prove it.

First time I've got one of those in 12 years - I swear that the little dog at the end of the family of stick figures was laughing at me as they pulled away.
That sucks! Sorry to hear about the "award", but I'm trying to figure out what you got tagged for. Passing on right? Speeding? It sounds like you waited for the legal to cross area before you passed, so it can't be that.

I gotta say again that the new HOT lanes really tick me off because passing slow pokes is virtually impossible now if you want to be semi-legal about it (waiting for legal entry/exit sections). It irks me every day on my commute up that road. My wife on the other hand, likes the HOT lane because she pays to get in it during heavy traffic and saves a lot of time on her commute to south Seattle.

I've heard good reports on her. I also have a "friend" that has successfully used Lisa Donaldson to get a performance award dismissed.

Good to have another option for our *friends* eh, Harald?

Thanks for the information... ;)
