Yeah...yet another reason I stand up from time to time....airin' it out, eh.
+1, exactly. :yahoo:You're supposed to just sort of "point" at the other bike's front wheel. That's all ther is to it. If any of ya'll were really "cool" you'd know that.
you are not watching other scoots are ya? :huh:I hope Odot doesn't ride with a passenger.
+1A fairly low, left-handed [obviously] horizontal peace sign seems to be the wave-du-jour.I just got back from an 8 day ride to CO and NM. Lotsa sickles on the 2-laners, so a lot of waving on my part.
Most of the HD types wave even though yer clearly on a riceburner, some even wave first.
Good vibes all around.
Isn't that the same dance Radman did in the Man **** Contest?
That's because NM and CO riders are friendly!I just got back from an 8 day ride to CO and NM. Lotsa sickles on the 2-laners, so a lot of waving on my part. Most of the HD types wave even though yer clearly on a riceburner, some even wave first.

Couple of months ago was a thread about who waves and who doesn't (most HD riders don't). Here in S. TX, I have noticed the HD riders have a particular wave they all seem to do. It is the down low to the left wave not the usual arm up wave. Is this a HD/bandito thing or is this something we should all be practicing for ultimate koolness? Maybe it's because if they lifted their arm up, it would present an unwelcome wobble and possible crash? OK, now where's my dew rag?
 +1Haven't seen anyone else mention this, but at more than crawling speeds, if I try to give a "high" hand wave, my hand catches the airstream and gets pushed back... making it kind of awkward. I generally tend to give a low wave because it doesn't tend to yank my arm off.
