What's a newbie to do!? Barely found the other board and now everyone is over here...Bought my '05 FJR on the 24 of June and am having a ball. I keep trying to compare it to my FJ1200 but my memory isn't that good  .

I just rode my former FJ1200 a few weeks ago two years after it found a new home with my web designer. It brought back memories.....of why I sold it! It was a great bike, but pales in comparrison to the FJR.

-SMALL HIJACK.... Nice R1 Canes !!

...back to regular program... :bye:

This forum is filling up fast. Built it and they will come. :fans:

The reason this board is filling up fast is partly to do with how good (or at least modern) the board software is, but more so because Marc is acting like a ****** bag.

People are jumping off EZBoard like rats off a sinking ship. Looks like the captain will go down with it, too.

Thanks for the welcome. Just picked up my new FJR with Abs today from the dealer. This bike is great, and very comfortable. I can't wait until the breakin period is over ( I was riding today and very tempted to give it a fistfull of trottle but then remembered I need to brak it in and them tires need to wear just a little) Anyway, I am very pleased so far with my new purchase. I am located in the Boston area if anyone'e interested in riding. Can I interest anyone in a Spirited Ride?

Jeffrey

Jeffrey... remember that the manual says no SUSTAINED Rpm's above 5k for the first 4k miles (I think). Let her rip now and then... cracking the throttle at 5 to 7k rpms will make your arms longer. You're right about unscrubbed tires though... give 'em a couple of hundred miles before draggin' a knee.

Floridafeeger checking in here - had to do a little legwork but finally found this site. I hope to share and seek great FJR tips and tricks as I had previously picked up at the EZBoard forum - it is so ironic that before I knew of the Warchild vs. Marc issues I paid my $12.00 for another year of support to EZBoard - oh well, I did get great value out of that forum the past year....I look forward to great things ahead sharing with fellow FJR pilots here on this forum too!!!

Hey all....

After my initial post and the sound thrashing I received for it's location (JUST KIDDING!!) :D

I'm happy to have found another home. I got the link to this site from yamahafz1oa.com, where I've been a member for about a year and change. I love the FZ board's format and ease of use and was sorely disappointed with the format on the ezboard site.

Long story short - I had a brandy new FZ1 that I went "deer hunting" on last October - I had just gotten it the way I wanted it- Corbin beetlebags, blue hardware, XM radio.....cherry.

Anyway, had there been an FJR in stock (in Feb 04) when I got the FZ, I'd have ridden off with it instead. Funny how we get that which we really want, not just in the manner we wanted. I took delivery of my FJR on 13 Dec 04 (6 weeks after my accident, and couldn't really ride until March 05. The Army gaffed me off and I had to beg for a civilian consult......seems the only soldiers that matter are the ones losing body parts in Iraq. I was even asked by a nurse "why do you need to ride a motorcycle, anyway?" Like I deserved it.

Anyhoooo, thanks for getting this board up and besides, I like the PURTY blue! :D

Oh, trust me, it's not a 'Warchild vs Marc" issue (like I really give a flying rat's *** anymore), rather, it's an issue of EZOp censorship and irrational behavior.

Welcome to the forum, floridafeeger.... hope Hurricane Dennis didn't rain on you too much there in sunny Florida! ;)
