Not bad! Before you know it, you will want something a little better for the corners, and that you can put a lot of Farkles on.

I hear the Yamaha FJR1300 is pretty good.

HA!!!

NO FREAKIN WAY!!!

You ain't gettin me that easy, silly boy. Smitty? On a wing?

Hell, the Cubs winning a World Series is more likely.

Ahhhh, Smitty and his love affairs. You just can't keep up with the boy. Looks like he will have it next weekend with any luck. Best wishes on your new ride.

Chester

Well, well...I know smitty changes bikes like I change oil in my truck. Smitty, I'm sure you'll love it, but me thinks you will scrape a peg sooner than you did with the KTM. :glare:

Smitty the fickled one!! I cannot believe it. That KTM was your dream bike. You are like a little school girl with a new love of your life every 5 minutes. A GW does not suit you. Aggressive rider that also doubles as an endurance rider. try the new concours or a kGT. GW's are too expensive.

Careful. A GW in the right hands is a formidable weapon. Congrats Smitty! <_<

****. Well I never would have believed it until that now geriatric ******* sent me the link to his sold KTM on ebay.

What's the world coming to? What's next? Cats and dogs living together?

I guess Smitty will riding one of these before long at all....................

It's a sad, sad day. :(

Smitty:

At least you won't have to figure out how to install a cruise control on the new wheels! :)

I owned an '89 Wing for 9 years; longer than any bike I have ever had. Out in the Santa Monica Mountains I used to terrorize sport bike riders with it. They are surprisingly competent corners with the suspension stiffened up and a fork brace installed. Enjoy your new machine.

Dave

I had an 03 GL1800 before my FJR. If you do lots of miles in a single day where twisties are not your steady diet, the wing can't be beat. Awesome bike and pretty capable in the turns. The more agressive Wing riders swear by the Traxxion suspension upgrades. I was happy with the stock set up so that tells you how hard I drove my wing, but even with the stock setup I could outperform any cruiser on the road (not saying much I know, but the wing does tip the scales at over 900 lbs).

Well Mr. SkooterG, it was going to be a surprise. But since you think I will be on a trike soon, you won't be able to have a "sponsored" ride FREE OF CHARGE in the 2009 IBR. My plan was to have this Lazy-Boy (Goldwing  ) fully rigged and ready to take you to a IBR victory in 09. It does have 3 years unlimited miles warranty...

So I guess I will have ride it around Hooterville :yahoo: . Smitty
