I just made my reservation and the rates were the original ones you posted ($49 / $79). Maybe they tagged on an extra $10 because they knew it was Don...

Or maybe they took $10 off because they knew it was you.
+100, Thousand Times Gunny!

I have started to post up some local rides with more to come. If you folks have a favorite route feel free to post it or send it to me in a pm and I will add it to the OP.

Bugnatr, please don't forget: Old Michael, puppychow, dcarver and Papa Chuy Viejo are leading an FJR Forum Group Ride to the Mustang Ranch. Sam, Don and Mick don't need GPS because they already have this route memorized! jes' sayin' and nuff said!

I like my nuts just where they are, as in Mrs. Bug would be roasting them on an open fire if I went anywhere near the Mustang.

I go through this every year (except 2010) right after I stuff the bikes away for the winter. My thoughts turn to where I should set my sights for the following season. This year was a bit of a washout. I've always wanted to do Northern Cali, specifically Yosemite. So this meet is definitely in play for me.

But **** that's a boring ass ride to get out there. Of course, I could just haul the bike out there....

Capitol idea! After riding damn near coast to coast about 8 years ago, I swore I wouldn't do it again. Last I heard, one doesn't lose their Man Card for using their noodle!

Amen Brother, I hear you loud and clear. Every year I go North to Canuckistan for CFR and the first 1K miles from Phoenix are nothing but a boring ass ride to get to Canada.

After the first year of Seth and I riding all the way up to Frostbacklandia, the next year I flew him to New York where his Saratoga Falls relatives met him at the airport.

Now I just say the Hell with it and put the FJR on a trailer behind our Jeep, Seth and I have hours of great fun and conversation: Then we park the rig at Bustanut jokers'!

johnny80s and jorstin want to ride the Alaskan Haul Road with me, I'm trying to talk those two Geeks in just trailering our dirt bikes up to FastJoyRide's in British Columbia!

+1, Gunny!

Backroads across the United States are fun...but if you don't have the time foe a proper tour, blasting through is pretty monotonous.

Hum, haul the bike out to Utah, ride the rest of the way there. Leave it with me.

That's the other issue. It'll pretty much eat up all my vacation time for what amounts to a really great weekend (Same reason I'm not going to Moab).

You are not going to Moab? Why don't you team up with Mopsy, Flopsy and Cottontail to trailer your dirt bike to Utah and team drive with them in shifts on the super slabs eh! jes' sayin' and nuff said!

NOTE: Mopsy, Flopsy and Cottontail are respectively, eh: yamafitter, huron 52 and Pam B.!
