I'm in Room 161 currently sipping a root beer and kicking back. Rode over to a little shop on Main St. to get the oil changed this morning. Also checked the air filter. OCFJR helped reroute my fuel line to the Tanji tank yesterday afternoon.

However, Bust will be pleased to know that I can use that shaver with my left hand now. :puke: It's getting easier to reach without a spiking pain in my left shoulder.

Hang in there Brodie! I got an ambidextrous test unit I'll overnight ya

Looks like Terri had to keep you all in line... My guess is that you are on Lake Pend Oreille up near Sandpoint. Am I close?

The lake behind the hooligans is Coer d'Alane. We were a a place called Huttons General Store, Harrison, Idaho.

1st attempt attending a WFO = failure.

Blewout a spark plug on the way there; litterally. Not sure what caused it, but 2nd cylinder spark plug was blown out of its threads. Couldn't of happened at a better time or better location. Family lived nearby and it was on a long straight stretch. Brother came and picked me and the bike up.

UGH!!! Appointment with Dessertvalley tomorrow to see what caused it and the extent of the damage. In a sick twisted sort of way, a naked sparked plug is an interesting site. Will try to find a camera and take a picture.

Thanks for hanging around and waiting with me until my brother showed up juniorfjr (fred). I trust you will arrive at a reasonable hour this evening and get in some great riding tomorrow.

Fred rolled in just in time to scrape up some left over BBQ morsels and relate your story of plug disappointment. Sorry to hear about that. If anyone can fix you up, it's DVS.

Not to worry, either. Fred made sure that the free drink ticket in your registration packet was secured and submitted properly.

HotRodZilla, BeemerDonS and SkooterG are in Livingston, Montana; going to tackle Chief Joseph, Beartooth Pass and every other pass we can find between here and Grand Junction, Colorado. At GC, CO: AJ will head back to Albquerque and Zonies will head back to Phoenix. Things are going well, AJ and I haven't strangled Skooty yet; but we are considering this option.

We ride "Elk Alley" between Livingston and Jackson, Wyoming this AM. We are considering coating The Old Whore in Elk Musk!!

Let me know if you Zonies are heading toward Red Mountain or Lizzard Head Pass, even through Gateway, all local runs for me. If you guys need a place to stay I have a spare room.

I blasted home yesterday and had numerous deer sightings, found out how the ABS feels when it starts to work  . The rumored Mormon Cricket infestation on Hwy 95 was just a myth, trucker was just pulling your leg.

Had a great time at WFO riding some 4000+ miles there and back, meeting a great bunch of guys, ridding with them on some really HOT roads, and the socializing, eating and drinking with a group of like minded individuals was in the words of Mastercard, Priceless! Shout out to the new riding buddies I met, BeemerDon, Gheeser, Hycle and Mrs. Hycle, Kevin (forget the handle), Spud and especially Niehart who went out to the parking lot to drag me into the party on Wednesday night and then ride with me all weekend, that was the best sixteen miles of gravel I had ridden all day ;) .

I ended up heading out a day earlier than planned. It was a great time while I was there! My front Bridgestone got me home OK but the tread is completely gone on the left side. The group ride with Telluride leading on Friday was a blast!

Two things of note happened on my way home (my route took me 600 miles that day). One, laid over pretty good in a corner at the bottom of a pass, like magic a WILD TURKEY steps right into my lane, then turns around at the last second. I missed it by inches. It appeared to be roughly the size of a labrador retriever.

Then, in the middle of nowhere--i'm thinking--damn those bicyclists look weird. I wizz by and had to turn around to talk to this couple who are UNICYCLING (!!!!!!) from Banff to MEXICO!!!!! They figured three months and they'd be there. I took this pic.

I think I have finally come to realize that I have a heat problem on my 05. And I think I can greatly reduce the heat by doing all my riding at less than 100 degrees ambient temps.

Home safe and thanks to the Rally Masters, a good time was had by all. Until next year. :yahoo:

geeze, sorry, what a drag, but good it was near help and facilities

got to ask  did it go DING !!! BONG !!! WACK !!!

Got home at 02:00 this morning, just in time to go in to work. <_<

Awesome ride up, during and on way home.

A little rough going up north on Tue. 113 degrees in Redding Ca. and 100+ temps continuing the next two days. Thank God for cooling vests and water hoses. Saw alot of Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Nevada I've never seen before. Including the Deschutes river area near Maupin Oregon, and the high desert of eastern Washington and Oregon. Western Idaho rocks to say the least with its colorful rolling farm land and deep lush forests. Even attended a local gun show in Moscow. Fun!!

Left for home at 7:00a.m. Sun. taking my time and made it home at 1:30 a.m. Mon. morning. Had a nice easy ride down 95 and the Salmon river. More icing on the cake for a great week and weekend. I wasn't going to ride all the way home all at once but couldn't resist. Only two wind storms and some road construction but I'm feeling pretty good today. 896 mi. and another first! (possible future saddlesore in the picture?).

What a great time with a greater bunch of people. I got to meet some new faces and get better aquainted with others. Looking forward to next year with a possible location in Cali's northwest corner near Hwy 36 and the coast and redwoods. Again, what a nice job and a big thanks to all the fine folks that put this event on!! Painman. <>< :yahoo:

Got home last night. I went south after WFO to get a look at Yosemite, Sequoia, Death Valley (went through there by the light of the full moon) and a couple of parks near Moab. I had a great time in Moscow and got to know a bunch of you in real life. Thanks all for the great riding, excellent conversations, and general good time.

I guess I didn't meet so many of you peeps? I saw some old budds, and talked with a few I didn't know, but I hadn't been to Idaho before and there was much to ride to see. Didn't arrive until the PM on Friday evening after a northerly route through Hell's Canyon, Joseph/Enterprise, Rattlesnake Grade, and The Spiral Highway. Lolo Pass took me ALL day on Saturday and I did it solo. Missed linking up with Shiney Parts Up (Michael) in the AM because I was still vascillating on what route to take? The "consensus" of those I checked with was, "go LoLo Pass, go Lolo Pass", so... I up and did it, and It was worth it too! ALL the accommodations and food etc. at WFO 8 in Idaho were great! Thanks to everybody who took this on.

Arrived home on Monday the 10th. Lot's of adventures after WFO. Will post something soon after dealing with a recent looming financial crisis. For me, Dog Days are here again! :(
