WooHoo! Been trying to find an excuse (and time off) to get to N. Cal.
OM, I want a tag along for one of your special rides. But I don't want to leave at 3 a.m. Where does that leave me?
Er...uhm....left behind!

Hudson, OM will give you a 5 minute notice.

Let's see.... That'll be two weeks after I return from my cross-country trip. So I'm gonna prolly be tired of riding my FJR. Got it on the calendar. Will say for sure when it comes time to put money down. Vacation time and bank account are gonna be thin after three weeks on the road. We'll see.

OK you Oregonizers, be sure and include some intel on camp grounds nearby when you announce the place in Nor Cal!
If I'm not mistaken, Whore-hay (<<that's Spanish for George), they've closed down or moved that KOA just north of Eureka.

....I mean if this thing is going to be in that area.
I understand they (the organizers) plan to revisit the Santa Rosa/Heldsburg area. The location of the first 2 WFOs.

Just a rumor.

Not.

I heard that our "resident agent" moved from deserted that area.
The move was due to economics (job transfer).

But the end result was more devastating than if I had stayed.

A no win either way but we could have stayed and played in paradise a little longer.

You can always visit. Will we be seeing Jacquie you guys at WFO? ;)

Just moved to the area and looking forward to my first WFO.

Greg, this one is in YOUR backyard!

Y'know, some most of the owners who frequent the FJR websites and attend these get-togethers are a little on the "different" or "strange" side. You might just fit right in!?!?

Oh, Lord, if you are into "farkles" you'd better bring some notepaper and a camera. Then check the overdraft protection on your credit card and checking account. :yahoo:

I know, how cool is that?!?!?! After attending SWFOG last year with Beemerdons, Niehart, Pinhead and the rest, I'm looking forward to seeing what the WFO can throw at me. Perhaps we can reopen the infamous "106 bar" I'll be checking out my new backyard "playground" getting ready. The credit card (paid off no less) stays HOME! well, I could use a new........

I'm sorry to disappoint you Greg, but I've met you. There is no way we are as strange as those hombres from the land of perpetual sunstroke -- does something to the brain I hear.

Why not invite your brother down from (?) Salem IIRC, and he can join the fun. Wouldn't be the first Harley to show up. Just tell him to ooh and ahhh at some of the old fart's rides in the parking lot and nobody will mind. He'd fit in.

We of the parking Nazi brute squad have a special place for the off brand skoots but they are still welcome.

Michael,

Living 38 seconds away from the core of the sun is one of the reasons that I am here now! Sun done dries out the old brain and turns you in the likes of Don, SkooterG and even though he's not from there, Bust. Plus the fact that I am now in MC nirvana helps out quite a bit too. You were close, my buddy is just a little further up, in Lebanon. An invite is already in the works, my friend. BTW, he proudly mounts his "Hogasaki" so that will help keep the "nazi brute squad" somewhat happy that it's also burning rice.

I'm old, so the details of our ride got fuzzy, but that would be cool. Anybody that brings laminated maps on a ride is OK in my book. If I make it to WFO I'll volunteer to be a parking lot nazi again. Some of the best times at WFO last year were kicking tires with beers in hand at 1-2 am, with Skooter and a great guy named Dave from ? TENN. He was a vet and a Red Sox fan. Wish I remembered his handle on the forum. You should come away with memories Greg. Just stay away from Skooter alone in the hotel -- I've heard rumors :D :p ;) .

No worries, you were close!

I think even the FNG'S know the rumors about Skooter...........

I'll take a turn at PLN as well

Greg

My 2 cents...

Dates are great, but if the distance to travel isn't known, it doesn't do me squat.... as vacation time had to be turned in the first two weeks of Jan. So unless the location can be ridden to on Thursday, I am not able to attend.

I think if you read the threads like this you can figure it out pretty easily. Or here....712 miles....cough. ;)
