Well, SOMEONE'S pullin' our leg: buy a bike out of spite without knowing what it is?
Pullin' our leg or got more money than.... I dunno.
No leg pullin. I have good credit at Harley and Yamaha. For whatever reason the Harley dealer wanted to hassle me. So I went and bought a bike I had read about, road and liked.
Well you made the right choice. The Hardly has all the technology of a lawnmower. All they are good for is being noise makers. I believe you will grow to appreciate your choice.

Know you have rode it already but beware of the brakes. Unlike the (HD JUNK) if you grab a handful of the front brake on this you will be over the bars. Real stopping power here and go power to boot!

Duggram, Give us an update when you've spent enough time with the FJR. Do a couple of day long rides and tell us what you think. I believe that we have all told you we think it is the best all round bike you can buy at a reasonable price. Just be careful. Statistics show a 3 fold increase in accident rates in riders that switch from a cruiser to a sport bike. The FJR is not an R1 but it sure has its share of sport in the sport touring.

What the FJR? Just a good handling, moderately powered sport-tourer. As I'm sure you've found out already, there's a night & day difference between a JFR and HD (or Buell).

The FJR is a nice machine with a good level of power, but as for the FJR being faster than a R1... there's no contest. The R1 has a much better power-to-weight ratio. Given the same skilled riders, the FJR would be seeing the R1's tail lights in short order. :D
