Hey, I just noticed this site is Blue. Thank the lord baby jesus it's not the slower silver.

However, when we do a quote, the quotation marks aren't realistic, someone really needs to fix that!

We all know the silver is the fast one , It was the first one of this model to be released over here.

I recall the old Honda 750 honda , the first ones to be released were the fast ones .

Also the early ones hold their value better .

Oh I use the 20-w50 Yamalube .

No tick yet .

silver got to the USA first because the other colors couldn't keep up.

I'm going to play this one straight.

Shell Rotella Synth 5W-40, plus2-3 ounces of GM EOS Assembly Lubricant for good measure (slight extra helping of ZDP, check older threads for more ZDP info). Just changed to Mobil 1 filter from the Yammie. 23 K miles '05, runs fine...

You are not the only one that had to learn this the hard way.....why do you think most of my posts end up in the NEPRT section ??
Jestal's individual posts are definitely an exception. I think he'd be a great candidate to do an FAQ on the subject of oil and have PM'ed him to consider it. Details to follow.
At least make all Jestal's posts in NEPRT's count toward his total. It just ain't fair!
Jestal: Looking forward to reading that FAQ and printing it for all (2) my gearhead friends. :clapping:

They do. As I slipped the point in another thread sometime back, after a drunken slur of a conversation with Skooter and I at WFO, I turned thread count back on for NEPRT......to which TWN queried if there was any other kind of non-innebriated conversation with Skooter and/or at WFO as a whole.

It's Completely Off-Topic Discussion, Jokes, and Testing that it remains off.

But what if you post it in the FJR section, it gets moved to Off-Topic, another admin decides it belongs in Racing and another admin moves it from Racing to Jokes? :p :p :p :p :p :p :p

It would be like an Enron scheme.

.....until such time as the giant post reconciliation that happens once a year when FJR's mate and make new baby FJR's in the remote wilds of the Japanese mountains.

That's SICK! Wait a minute...hmmm...baby FJRs?...250cc, 18K RPM, 310 lbs.....

1) Pros: Your wife/girlfriend can now ride with you, on her own bike...

2) Cons: See number 1

I don't know about "everyone" but I use the Delvac 15W40 conventional oil (non-synthetic version) and don't even give it a second thought.
Almost nearing 600 mi on my 06A, so ...

You had mentioned in another post, "Use one of the 15W40 oils marketed as "diesel" oils such as Delvac/Delo/Rotella and quit worrying about it."

I just bought 15W40 Heavy Duty Diesel Motor Oil by Castrol. Has markings CI-4 Plus.

So, is the Castrol brand with these specs good enough to start with?

I didn't see a Gold Chain and Chest Hairmat section at that Vette forum.. Oversight, or just too many posts for the server to handle?
