No real plans yet for 2007. But I'm ALWAYS open to ideas. Would love to do more of the BRP.

March/April/May - In-state BBG. Just need a good weekend here in Washington.
To plan for an in-state BBG I'm going to need a wide window for weather contingency. Short of doing repetitive laps on an Interstate I'm going to need great weather to pull something like that off. Being the pimp that I am....I gotta work it around the bevy of dates I have lined up.....Yo'!Uhmmmmm.....Iggy, Ya only need 1 day for a BBG, Not the whole weekend.
You want to try to time it for when spring thaw is at its peak--which means April / May. Yosemite is famous for its falls, and they are bursting at that time of year.(2) A ride down to Yosemite, not sure the best time of year...
Jb Thanks for the info. This is priceless. Is the park very busy in April/May?You want to try to time it for when spring thaw is at its peak--which means April / May. Conversely, my buddies and I have gone each year in Sept - Oct, after summer busy season. The falls are all dried up, but the granite is always spectacular. And at that time of the year you have the park all to yourselves. I can recommend a motel right outside the park.
See photo link under my signature (below) for Yosemite at its peak this year. Also see this link for the ride report for this year's trip: Spring 2006 Yosemite Ride Report

You're welcome. We went the Friday of the Memorial Day weekend, and it was fairly busy (we left Saturday morning just as it was getting REALLY busy). But if you were to go before that weekend, you'd have fairly low tourist density.Jb Thanks for the info. This is priceless. Is the park very busy in April/May?
Thinking about a ride out to Death Valley in Feb. Maybe out to Big Sur, weather and time permitting.
Since I'm organizing the SW-FOG in NM at the end of June I'll, of course, be there.
Then a ride up through the Rockies from NM to WA for the summer up there. Back down in the fall.
Summertime: Rides up to Canada, Alaska from WA?
