What trips are you planning for 2007?

A motorcycle touring magazine published a list of "must do" activities if you claim to be a motorcyclist. Among them were attend a motorcycle rally a la Sturgis (um, no thanks; not my tribe), attend a professional motorcycle race (check--went to MotoGP at Laguna Seca last two years; second time in RedBull hospitality tent), and ride across the continental United States.
So my two buddies and I are planning a trip from San Francisco to the Adirondacks in upstate New York for the second half of June. I will start trip planning soon and will welcome from Forum members good routes through their respective states.

R.I.P. Our Motorcycling Friend
Am planning a trip to Charlotte Nc. around memorial day for my oldest daughters wedding. Frank should finally be up to Touring GT status, with a new Street Pilot III well set up, and a Roady XM for entertainment, as well as all the other mods made over the last 2 years. Following that, I would like to make WooFoo, if only to ride Utah-have driven it fairly well but never scooted it. CFO follows soon after. Looking forward to 2007, I seem to never tire of throwing miles on Franks odo.

3 weeks--Swiss and Italian Alps and maybe into Liechenstein :yahoo: Will rent a dual sport in case of snow.
Mid-May-Blue Ridge, Smokie mountains
Mid-June-Around the Eastern Great Lakes, Adirondacks, NH, VT, Maine, Quebec, S. Ontario into N. MI
Sept-EOM in WV
And probably a few day trips to S. OH, KY and WV in between.
I won't count mid-ohio races since it's only an hour away.
Not too bad. Next year I must go out West to MT, UT, and CO. National FJR meet???

Big year coming up -- some trips on the FJR and some on the 1800 Wing.
mid-April -- 8-day trip with four of my buddies to Big Bend NP and the Texas Hill Country
mid-May -- 5-day trip to southern Utah canyon country with my High Country Cruisers club
late-May to late-June -- long trip back east to GA, TN, WV, MD, NY, and PA, then back to CA; in NY will be in the Catskills 1-3 June or so.
25-29 July -- Rockies-Gold gathering of Gold Wings in Montrose, CO, riding the mountains and canyons of western Colorado Rockies-Gold
10-31 Aug-- trip with my best riding buddy (his wife is great to give him such a pass as this) to northern Idaho, Glacier NP, and the Canadian Rockies (Banff, Jasper)
20-23 Sep -- Central FJR Owners rally in Custer, SD
plus a few other things here and there if all goes well.
