What'd my dealer forget to plug in?

Just got my grip puppies today and when installing the left one, I happened upon this:

Anyone have any idea as to what it is? I got the bike's 4k done about 3 weeks ago... I imagine it's been unplugged since then.

Thats the connector for heated grips, or for the factory ones anyway....

just tuck it in the fairing and keep riding.

Tap into it for a positive lead to the headlight circuit. Relay controlled, fused, ample reserve for 35-50 watts of load. You'll need another source of ground. The "other" wire is not a true ground.

Then tape it or heatshrink it up and tuck it away. Great source of farkle power.

I forgot to add, it goes hot when the engine fires up, just like tires.
