What would you give for a blue 2007 still in the crate and never titled?

Keeping in mind that massive value hit the bike will take the second it's titled, what's it worth? I'm sure that I'll ride the bike at least 3-5 years (if not forever).

Hey Deac. Hog from the FZ1OA....

I just picked up my '08 AE, new out of the crate for $9999 for means of comparison. There are deals still out there to be had.

This is an '06, not an '07 . . . . '07s were burgundy. Heck, based on color, it could be an '05 even. Check the VIN.

What dealer would sit on one for more than 3 years? Make sure he has the bags - they shipped separately from the bikes.

You should be able to get full warranty. And buy the Y.E.S. for $389.

The battery and all fluids (including brake and clutch and coolant) need to be changed prior to delivery or even starting the bike. There are recalls to be performed as well.

I won't hazard a guess on price because there's bound to be a chasm between the dealer and you.

Do research on pricing and be prepared to pay (I would guess) about 10% more than 'best condition' value for the machine.

Do you mean silver? I would believe that. Those paddle shifters weren't very popular.

I once bought a Yamaha (TDM) that was going-on its 3rd season sitting on the dealer's showroom floor. I bought it for a song (I think the dealer got a good kick-back from Yamaha?).

That bike was fraught with problems -- many of which could be traced to sitting. It needed the brake calipers rebuilt (oxidation never sleeps.... :( ).

Called the guy today and he called the warehouse. He is still sitting on two left over FJR's. A '06 blue (non-ABS) and a '07 Silver, both are AE's.

On one hand I like the idea of the auto-clutch, on the other... it's new and different and I don't know if I would like it or not.

Anyway, if your looking for a new 06/07 AE Cycle World in Brooklyn Park, MD is still sitting on a couple.

"A '06 blue (non-ABS) and a '07 Silver, both are AE's"

That 06 if it is blue is not an AE, 06 AE was silver just like the 07

A dealer who doesn't know what year the freakin' bikes are!? REALLY!?!? Sounds like you better get a deal quick; I can't imagine a dealer like that being in business too long :no2:

Did someone suggest (more than once) checking the VIN numbers? <_<

Yeah, who is this mysterious dealer with crated FJR's sitting around? You should let me check into this character, I have your best interest in mind, really I do.

Just called the Cycle World. Salesman stated they have not had an FJR this year and had no idea why someone would think they did. Sales lead, Brian, then stated he has one 07, silver AE, w/ ABS (as all 07s) with all bags. Very disjointed conversation that sounded fishy.

I live near cycleworld and back in april I asked about any FJR"S and they said they had none I ended up driving 500 mile to powersports in Maumee Oh an 08 for 10 k and am glad I did.I was at Petes Cycle Friday and they had an AE that they were trying to unload.

New Orleans Power Sports

I personally saw a few weeks ago a brand new zero miles Black Cherry '07 on the showroom floor.

The same guy owns the New Orleans (actually in suburb Kenner) shop and the Lafayette shop.

This bike has been at the Lafayette store since they obtained it and now it's in the New Orleans (Kenner) store.

Just sharing the info.

let's ride safe and be careful out there,

Mike in Nawlins'
