That's the best advice you'll get!It comes down to what YOU want, and then finding an artist to help you get there.Check with the local hot rodder/street rodder/custom bike guys as to who does the best work in your area, take some hallucinogenic drugs, and dream up yer own creation...
Show us what ya got....
Tryp.....I'm retired also, match the red on one o these......just sayin the lifestyle an all..........Ah...sorry. I didn't tell you guys what I have - it's an '05 (Cerulian Blue). I think that's the best color Yamaha has come up with so far. But I'll be retiring soon and want to change my paint with my life-style. Thanks for the contributions thus far, and keep 'em coming![]()

'05s were "Cobalt" Blue. Cerulean is the Bluish-Silver of the '04sAh...sorry. I didn't tell you guys what I have - it's an '05 (Cerulian Blue).
Retiring soon? Changing lifestyle? I'd say the drabbest gray you can find. :finger:But I'll be retiring soon and want to change my paint with my life-style.
Thanks for the compliment, Wanderer: Setting off my Miss Lucy Liu in two tone blue and silver made her mine exclusively among the other 2003 FJR's running around. Heatwave Custom Cycle Paint of Chandler did her paint job way back in 2004.I vote for the Oceania 07 'Metallic Desert Sand' I also saw a pic of Beemerdon's Two tone blue and silver and am a big fan.

***Ahem****
How quickly the AARP types forget.
In 2005, Yamaha called the FJR1300 shade of blue "Galaxy Blue".
It was in 2006, that Yamaha gave the FJR a bit darker shade of blue and called it "Cobalt Blue".
Either way, both are slow colors for those of questionable internal fortitude. But they don't seem to munch their motors!
