Still trying to make the swap with GalaxyBlue work, however, timing/logistics may not allow it. Won't know for sure until later this week.
Anyone else out there up for a possible swap if this one doesn't work out!?
Larry, how can I sell out from under you when you don't have the right wheels to trade. You made this post at 12:03pm yesterday... You even say time/logistics may not allow it.. Get a grip... :nono: :nono: Thanks for the kind words.. :asshat2:

I took a quick pic this morning before heading to work of my bike with black rims on it. If you guys want any more pics, let me know and I'll try to take a few more. I know its kind of a crappy pic, but I was running late for work....

Vecter,

That tank looks very '06 Blue while the bags look '05 blue. Is it just an optical illusion?

PS - I like the black rims even better on my '98

clicky

Sorry i dropped the ball on this.

No apology necessary, Adam. If smitty would have told me last Thursday...or Friday......or Saturday........or Sunday before 7 PM that he was planning to sell the wheels with the bike, there would have been no issue. When someone creates a post in the classifieds like THIS, common sense would dictate that if they change their mind about selling an item, they communicate that.

After finding out that smitty didn't want black wheels, I very much appreciate you offering to trade yours. Like you and I discussed, had we known smitty had a timing issue, we could have done the trade this past weekend. Obviously the reason I reposted here to see if anyone else had an interest in a trade was so that smitty didn't have to wait another 10 days to sell the wheels. I guess keeping smitty's best interest in mind makes me a :asshat2:

Again, lesson learned......getting a grip and moving on now.

Optical illusion. I have a Magnight tank protector on there so it looks darker. The pic was also taken early in the morning, so I'm sure that had something to do with it.

At first I didn't care too much for the black rims on the bike, but now its growing on me. What I like most about them is the ability to have a second set of wheels ready to go! Now I can actually wear out a set of tires instead of having to swap out a set of tires with 1000-2000 miles left on them because I'm getting ready to do a 3000 mile ride!

Coming in a bit late here, but I didn't even realize until a couple of weeks ago that my '03 wheels had been swapped by the previous owner:

Reading through the thread, I find that I may not know what year bearings/spacers I have at the rear, in case it ever comes up for some reason.
