When will we see a new FJR design?

Hmmm K-16 lights never heard of them. Are they good? Let me see what I can find in Google about those lights.
Here you go Rider_FJR, I have this feature on mein "Gisele", my 2012 BMW K1600GT. They are so wicked cool, your headlights are "looking" through the curve for you!

I'm never going to let that guy borrow my bike. Banging off the rev limiter downshifting and has no idea how to do a nice smooth wheelie. Nice lights though!

carlson_mn, "that guy" was my illegitimate bastard son SkooterG! What can I say, his Mom and I sent him to school and he burnt the books and ate the damn Teacher!

I love the way the FJR looks, no need to touch the plastic. I know it would increase the cost just to offer this stuff but they sure would be nice: electronic cruise control, integrated sound system with an in helmet headset with blue tooth connection to your phone (yeah I’m asking a lot on that one), I like the idea of changing the tail lights & turn signals over to LEDs, longer front fender to keep junk from getting kicked up in to the lower scoop and radiator, maybe a fender for the rear wheel too and any way put it on a 50 to 100 LB diet & keeps ABS?

Power plan and tranny are solid, don’t fix what isn’t broke. If the mileage was less than 40 mpg I think the “accounting department” would’ve had a different opinion on getting this bike.

I’ve said it before, this bike has been in production for a while and that has translated to a very reliable, great handling, powerful and fun ride for under $14,000 new. (Plus tax and other BS) I see a lot of value in these things and wouldn’t want to see adding some options take that away. Besides, other than the engine and tranny, we can change all of those things we’ve been talking about aftermarket at a pretty reasonable price.

There is my two cents worth. Happy riding everyone! :)

In all honesty, Mama Yamaha probably doesn't care about all the newest gadgets, or even what the competition is doing in the ST market. They run a business and making dough is their only goal.

After 20 years unchanged, Kawasaki remodeled the Concours, Honda updated the ST1100, BMW can play all they want, but I would leave the (nearly) perfect FJR alone. The tools/dies are all paid for, so they could even drop the price and make the point of 'best bang for the buck'. They can still make dough and NOT make me pay extra for stuff I don't need.

The new C14 has more gadgets, and less practicality, the Honda is ???, and the BMW 1600 is smoooooth and spendy!

Maybe add some OEM options like cruise, headlights, etc, but not reinvent the FJR.

There are a couple things Yammie could change that would cost them little or nothing: like for example the kickstand. Make the pad just a little larger... similar to what many of us have with our Wynn Pro foot stand pad. Or a longer, more protective front fender... sort of like what many of us end up with after installing a fendie-extendie. Two simple changes that would be extremely easy to do from a manufacturing standpoint.

Personally, I'd love to see a cruise control. Fine, this is not a cheap or easy item to add to any machine. But it sure would be a popular item and a great selling point on a new FJR. I wonder what just this one item might add to the overall cost?
