Sorry about your bike, Kevin, but I'm glad you are OK.

I like this shot! :dribble:

Sorry to hear about your off. One more testimonial on why you were you gear at ALL times. Ya never know when the road gremlins will get you.

While it sucks the bike got damaged, at least you didn't.

As for the slider, that is exactly why I didn't choose the aluminum. While there score high on the farkle list and BLING factor they aren't really that great of a slider. They tend to "grab" the asphalt where the nylon sliders do just that, slide. Though am thinking where you went down, it may have gotten caught on something.

As stated, maybe an 08 in your future.

Glad to hear you are OK Fence, that road looks pretty nasty. I haven't replaced my aluminum sliders either, but I think I will now. ;)

Hey, I just winked at a guy whose *** I have seen on the internet. :(

Damn, that gravel looks awful familiar, same thing that ate my feejer. At least the bike didn't slide into a tree!

I declare war on Gravel!!!!!! Apparently it's already declared war on us....

As for the slider, who knows, even with Derlin, the same thing may have happened.

Sorry to hear about your get off Kevin, but it's good to know your ok.

Least you got another bike to fill the void until the feejer is repaired/replaced. You'll likely just have to get the Suzuki taged for street use, if only temporary.

And thanks for testing the aluminum skyway sliders. I'll have to swap mine out for sure. Slight hijack...anybody know if Skyway is still in business selling stuff like the replacement delrin sliders?
Try this link.
I won't hijack this any further. I know about his website, but my question was meant to be more specific as to whether he is still actively selling and shipping items like the sliders. I'll start another thread as necessary. But thanks. End of hijack.

Its a good crash if you can walk and ride away.
Amen to that! :yahoo: Sorry to hear about your misfortune... seems this was not a favorable weekend to ride.

Bikes can be replaced (cameras too!) and we walked away. Still a good weekend overall in my book!

SORRY about yer get off. Glad that yer body didn't take the brunt of the damage. I'm sure you will be sore for awhile. :(

Too bad about the ***....hole. :D

Glad to hear your OK Fencer.

Frame & threaded hole can be repaired, just won't be as pretty.

But; if they include the frame/engine case (if threads are damaged, now or when you try & get the bolt out?) on the quote it would most likely total the bike.

I'm sure you are weighing your options?

What? No multitude of broken bones? No week-long stay in ICU?

Amateur.

Glad you faired as well as you did, man. May this be your one and only. You've got your story for the grandkids, so no more are necessary.

Fencer those slides are suppose to have water on them not gravel.

Good to hear the gear worked so well for you.

I'm with the 08 crowd...................

Glenn

Damn Fence, hate to hear about the get off, but damn, keep your *** **** to yourself :p

Glad you walked away with just some bumps & bruises and that the bike (minus the mount) isn't too bad.

Also, That just confirmed my thoughts on the billet sliders. Though I hate to see that you had to test them.

Heal quick and let us know if there is anything we can do.
