Good point. I will keep that in mind. Decisions, decisions. I'm trying to pull everything together all at once. Got my risers coming in, got a rear rack to bunge my sleeping bag on, now the Ipod decision!
The Airclick kicks ***!! Put the Ipod anywhere :yahoo:I keep my iPod in my breast pocket of my 'stitch, and have an AirClick remote mounted to the left mirror hole on the bar. The AirClick gives me access to most of the iPods controls including volume. With the ear buds I use, I've got full portability. B)

Wirelesswill, one of the guys on VFRD compiled a bunch of photos of different remote control options for the IPOD that you guys might want to check out. Coincidentally this is the same guy who was just involved in a cage vs bike crash a couple of days ago and is now hospitalized.
How is Wireless? I'm so sorry to hear about him (or anyone for that matter) getting in an accident with a cage. Almost lost my husband Monday. He and my daughter were in Portland riding, she made it thru the intersection with no problem..as husband was turning a car flew up over the hill and into the intersection and almost clipped him. He saw it coming and hit the throttle just in time. Glad I wasn't there to witness. I would have taken his riding privileges away.
Back to discussion, I loved Wireless' link with all the different choices. I had no idea it would be so difficulty to pick. Plus, I'm not real educated on these things. Just got my first one for Christmas and have the daughter teach me everything. I'm old and a little slow at the electronics stuff but I do catch on eventually. However, Everyone keeps talking about generations. I just got mine so would that be a 5th generation? Anyway, Thanks for sending the link so I can check it all out. I think I found just what I needed.
And let us know about Wireless' condition.

I ran for about 10 hours last Sat before my battery died on the way home. It was on for at least 8 hours with the AirClick installed and running. I keep my back light off all the time, and usually tap the pad through my 'Stitch to advance songs. I do have an aftermarket battery in my iPod tho, may be the difference. Clickie for Link B)Mine seems to drain the IPod in about 3 hrs and I dont use the remote that much.
Before I built my electronics pod ( https://chornbe.com/motorcycles/fjr/electronics/ ), I just stuffed it in a jacket pocket and used the Griffin Air Click remote. Now it's mounted in my pod and I *still* use the Air Click remote.I'm taking off on a trip May 4th and want to use my Ipod. Not sure what to do with it though. Any suggestions? should I mount it on the handlbars? wear it on my clothes? HELP!

Just be careful, that's for the model that only works on the previous generations of iPods. No new Nano's, no G5 iPods...The Airclick has dropped to $11.50 on Amazon.... cheep!

For those you need the Dock Connector version, which is still around $30
