Which Crashbars

I couldn't find anything recent on the forum, so I'll start a new thread.

I just purchased a 2015 FJR, and I'm looking to get some crashbars in case of a tip over or a low speed crash. I've seen a few options:

Givi TN2109OX Crashbars

T-Rex Engine Guards

MCE Canyon Cages

The T-Rex Guards look like they would work best with the bag protectors as well, but I'm not sure if the other 2 are essentially the same design as well.

Does anyone have any of these bars, or have any experience with them?

When I purchased my bike it had canyon cages front and rear on it. I think they will be great for protecting me, the engine, and frame in a crash but you will still most likely damage the bags and fairing. The rear ones look good and blend in when the bags are on but do not look good when the bags are off. The only complaint I have is the interference when getting the oil filter wrench on the filter.

MCE Cages - there is no substitute. When you can drop your bike like this (note the angle the bike is laying at) and walk away with nothing but a couple of scratches to only to the crash bars themselves, well, I rest my case...

And the Canyon Cages for the Gen III FJR are even better, and use thicker tubing, but mine were not bent or dented either.

The mangled guard rail was already there

I have since added some frame sliders to even keep the hwy pegs protected, Garauld sells a kit now that does a similar job to my slider setup.
