Which shall it be, ps3 or Wii Wii Wii?

My other half and I are split as to which one to go for. I'm in the ps3 court, and she's backing the Nintendo.

Any of you guys getting a new console? Which one and why?

From what I've read the ps3 is the ****. But, what my POCKET BOOK tells me is we are settling for the wii. We have both older units right now for my boy and me. But we are going to live with the wii as far as the new sysstems for know.

I just ordered a 42 Panny Plasma, it will be a good compliment I think.

Well, if Cartman was willing to freeze himself for three weeks instead of waiting for the Wii, it should be worth having. That's all I got to say about that.

360 baby! Check out the graphics and play of Gears of War. We'll see if PS3's Resistance is up to the challenge.

To me the PS3 is 25% over-priced and don't even start with game prices. Sony doesn't get it, this coming from a PS 1 & 2 owner (and Sega Genesis, N64, ...) . Enthusiasts, maybe even me, will buy it but not so many casual gamers. The Wii is going to take over the low end something fierce. It will be analogous to how the DS Lite is kicking PSP @ss in handheld sales.

Blu-Ray as something special? Think again. The format wars are not over (HD-DVD is now a $200 add-on for the 360). A combined format drive is due out soon and by the time PS3 shipments catch up to demand Blu-Ray/HD-DVD player pricing should be hitting its stride.

I want progress in gaming systems but the PS3 is getting too close to real PC territory in price.

Okay, killer games may get me to buy but I haven't seen any launch titles that make me salivate yet. I bought my PS2 originally for Gran Turismo but GT-HD isn't reported as enough of an advance to spend $$.

i've heard that a PS3 could be priced at nearly $700. forget that! i play pc games (if i game at all). the rest of that cash can buy a lot of farkles.

I wouldn't do either. Nintento has a market that generally caters to the younger crowd and the ps3 is still having problems. I was in the ps3 trailer at the motorcycle show, and 2 of the locked up while I was standing there. 1 of those they had to tear the display apart because it wouldn't reboot on its own. I don't think it's there yet. However, by the time the price has dropped from $600 they should have it all worked out. Personally, I got a 360 and the only reason I would even consider a ps3 is if they make another Gran Turismo, and the guy there told me there are no plans for that atm.....

Besides the graphics are THAT much better than a 360, so get one of those if you haven't already.

Blue ray is a nice bonus, seeing as the players cost around $500-900 anyway.

But what about Zelda: Twilight princess, and Metroid 3!!!!

Playstation always seems to get more games though...

Screw it, just refinance your house and buy them both!!!!!!!!! :clapping:
