41K....2005 model, took delivery in mid August of 04. GZ rode it the other day and said "it still pulls like a mule..."

Good times.

As if my FJR smile could get bigger.......the majority of you are quoting 05's...like mine. Not that the earliers ones would have been inferior.

Keep em coming guys. Interesting stuff.

Er, your '05 is our '06. My US '05 was purchased in August '04, produced in May '04 (IIRC). We cheat the resale that way. ;)

Yeah, but his bike is close to 100K. That's pretty much saying your 41K bike runs like it's got 100K on it.

North American model years are whacked.

Your 2001 is.....um we didn't have a 2002 or any model that year. Yamaha didn't like North America that year.

Your 2002 is our 2003. Your 2003 is our 2004. Your 2004 is our 2005. Your 2006 is our 2006....oh wait....they synchronized them that year. Your 2007 is our 2007.

Suffice it to say that American marketers think that giving a 2005 bike in the year 2004 is somehow cooler for the consumer.....like they own a time machine.

Oh for the love of bloody hell! Don't you people have better things to do??

Anyway, I know you are just jealous. At this rate, I will most definately have the most pristine antique of anyone!

EDIT: Oh damn, look at my signature it's waaaaaaaay off. I actually have 4500 miles...

I'm exactly one month away from the one-year anniversary of buying the 2005 Blue Rocketship, during which time I've put 21,000 miles and one nasty-ass crash on her (and me  ). And I still can't get enough riding time on her: My commute is the best part of my day!

P.S. See the fellah in the photo over my left shoulder with the blonde mohawk? He's one of two Canucks I ran into crossing north on the Golden Gate Bridge to this look-out point. They were on their way home on a couple of dual-purpose bikes, having gone from Canada down Baja in Mexico, and back up. Ah, to be young again.....

the responses appear to discuss who claims to have the highest mileage FJR, but the topic asks

"Who can claim to be the highest mileage FJR rider"

my knee hurts a bit from time to time -- i have no idea how many miles i put on it, but im just in my mid-40s.

what rider has the most miles/age on him/her?
