Very good, nurses weren't very hot though, and the food blew chunks. Literally. Cheap though. I think he was gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Gettin hard to get a straight answer around her, eh Smitty? Of course, plent of gay answers to go around..........

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

By several orders of magnitude, the best place to get an FJR with "the tick" fixed is Sunnyside Yamaha, in Sunnyside, WA. That is the dealership owned by Dan Denchel, same as FJRGoodies.com. Great dealership, with great customer service, and lots of technical expertise when it comes to the FJR.

This is just a SWAG, but I bet that dealership has fixed 20-30 tickers.

But unfortunately, that would be a little far for you, so hopefully someone a little more local will have some info.

Still, quit worrying about the damned tick if you don't have it. Still a longshot that you will get it, so ride, enjoy, and repeat.

Did you make the quilt, too?

As much heat and light that the "TICK" issue seems to generate, you'd think these same gentlemen would know where to get one fixed....

So, any of you who make so much smoke about this know where to get one fixed in Mo.? Or do you just wish to through gasoline on the fire, not be part of the solution?

OK.

So, there are good dealers with TICK experience in WA(20?), CA(1), PA(1).

Great question Smitty!!!!

I have made an appointment for my ticker.

I am driving across town to the largest (best) dealer within riding distance.

(in Indy)

But, I have not taked to anyone there that claims any knowledge of this issue.

It looks like I am the 1st ticker in the Midwest. And in for an uphill ordeal.

If that is true, the magnitude of this issue has been blown waaaaay out of proportion.

What... 12,000 FJR delivered in US?

And no confirmed and repaired tickers between PA and CA. (so far)

Anyone else hiding in the woodwork?

Yes, I am just prodding the lurkers to post up. ;)

Yeah, you gotta lose the negative energy. That alone can cause that dreaded condition of which I will not speak. If you're into a corner should you focus on the oncoming F-150 bumper? I think not. It's like some good golfing advice that I am always eager to give; Never have a swing thought that includes the word "Don't", i.e. Don't hit it into the lake, don't worry about the out-of-bounds left, etc...

I would, were Frank develop a tick, take it to University Motors. Sterling rep, Midwest location. Not familiar with their service dept rep, but I know they have a good reason to treat the FJR community right, as they have a serious business relationship with us. I trust no one in the Twin Cities as far as I can throw them. There, I got serious. It hurt, but I did it.

There was a poll on 'the other board' that had detailed information for those with tickers. There were quite a few posts that had owners that had it fixed. But, when EZBoard tooka ****, all of those valuable posts were lost.

Actually that award and first in the US and possibly North America goes to me, But everyone was so tired of hearing about it I try not to bring it up anymore, but I'm not about to let someone else claim it. ;)

The guy who did my bike left the authorised dealership to start his own business.

He was the only guy I could find that I would trust to do the work. I'm in Cincinnati.

If I have to go through it again, I'd call sunnyside and just plan my vacation around it. Of course next time I'll probably paying for it myself which means I'll be doing it myself.

Ack!!!

Enough with the "next time" crap!

How bout spreadin a little positive mojo my knuter valve challenged friend?

TWN, I suppose I'm just a little "testy". I've been off work for a week with a knee all puffed up...God I hate being a patient and having to be patient! Laying around taking meds, icing every 2 hours keeping the leg elevated is driving me nuts...and I was almost there anyway.

Bummer! Did you injure it somehow?

Laying around taking meds, icing every 2 hours keeping the leg elevated
Sounds like a classic strained knee.... BTDT just last month; these orthopedic episodes can be a royal bitch as one ages..... :(
